  1. Thanks, that's what I was thinking. The only makes that offer the exact gauges I fancied had hit or miss reviews though. Just ordered a set of Daddario, that I usually play, medium scales with 45-100 gauge. We'll see how they go.
  2. Are they OK to cut down?
  3. Just read a bit about elite strings and I think I'll give them a miss. Ernie ball do nickel round wound medium scale in 45-65-85-105 though. Any thoughts?
  4. Thanks, good info to have. I usually use nickel round wound daddarios which are 40-60-80-100 on my 34". Just saw that elites do nickel round wound medium scale which are 45-65-85-105. May give those a go.
  5. Just bought an Ibanez srmd 4 string. Photo to follow aftera clean, new strings and a set up (all badly needed). On the subject of strings, what are we using gauge wise? I like 40-100 on my 34" bass. How much difference in tension if I just stick to these or should I consider slightly heavier strings, say 45-105? All help appreciated, I've asked the same question on a new topic in the accessories thread also.
  6. Just bought an ibanez srmd 4 string and wondering about string gauge. I use 40-100 daddarios on my 34" scale bass and thinking of 45-105 for this one. Is there much difference in tension between both scales if I just stick with 40-100? Thanks guys.
  7. Love it but don't think I could afford the shipping VAT and customs to bring it to UK.
  8. Very pretty. What's the nut width please? Cheers.
  9. Is the body smaller than a 34" scale Stingray?
  10. Sorry Andy, the Motion was sold (I've been moving house and my attention's been on that alone).

  11. Is this still Available? What is nut width? Cheers.
