1. That's good news about the fanned frets, looks like a trip to the gallery is in order to check them both out. The abz is pretty tempting.
2. Looking for a bit of advice on these, so has anyone got one or played one to give me an idea of the sound and how easy it is to get over the fanned frets? I'm looking for something to replace my G&L tribute which I haven't really been getting on with as everytime i pick it up I constantly fiddle with the eq and switches, I just haven't been able to tame the output sometimes. I think a 5 string may be the way forward and the dingwalls look awesome, otherwse it may just be another 4 string ray on the cards.
3. It's actually 4.5kgs so more like 10lbs.
4. I believe it's about 9.5lbs but I'll find some scales and weigh it.
5. G&L L2000 Tribute Blueburst Maple Neck 2 humbucking pickups , 3 band active circuitry Series parallel switch Active with treble boost/Active/passive switch The bass is only a few months old, I've used it for a few gigs and a few practices so it's in very good condition. It has the P-bass style maple neck, plays perfectly. Pictures:
6. Girls Against Boys for a bit of 90's noise. Spinal Tap (well only on one song )

9. New price as I now need to get this sold.
10. Only had this a few months bought brand new from GAK, sounds and plays great but I'm going to stick to 4 strings for now. Played less than 2-3 hours so it's as new, not a mark on it. Specs: 35" scale neck through Bartoli Mk2 pickups and 3band eq Neutrik locking jack input 24 fretts Width at nut: 54mm 17mm string spacing Price: £400 I really don't want to post it , so collection from SW London or meet halfway etc. Stock pic, I'll take some proper ones on request.

12. The brief put on some good stuff, it's a pretty decent venue and one of the less terrible pubs in Croydon (IMHO there are no good pubs in Croydon anymore ).
I'm moving to Croydon in a couple of weeks, not heard of this place so must check it out!
Scream Studios have just started putting gigs on, bit out of the way (down by southe Croydon tucked down an alley, but no stab vest required honest) but worth a look. Also check out the Green Dragon and the Ship.
13. If you can find one a second hand Vox tonelab SE (now sold as LE but a new one is well over budget) could be had for around that price, a truely awesome multi fx unit.
14. I'm looking for a budget (sub £500) 4 string , I currently play a stingray but I'd like something a bit more expendable for dodgy venues and to take on tour. I play punk and almost always use a pick if that makes any difference. I love the sound of the ray so anything vaguely close to that would be awesome but it won't matter too much in a live setting. Now the picky bit, would prefer a maple fretboard, don't like anything to pointy/weird shaped, really don't want a fender. I was thinking G&L tribute, Lakland 44-01
