2.
2 band preamp, see link here: - http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/bass...tc2_stc32_3ban/ Bought from another BassChatter for a project that didn't happen Has a slap switch, and comes with the matt black knobs. £50 posted.
Do you know the bass and treble frequency centres for this preamp? I can't find anything on the basslines product page. Thanks
  3. I've also been thinking about replacing the preamp in my TRB5 and would be interested in any feedback on how easily the East pre went in and how well it worked with the stock Yamaha soapbar pickups. With pictures if possible. I suspect that a bit of drilling is needed ... Thanks

    Yamaha BB2024
I see a few UK retailers now stock the Yamaha BB2024 basses. Has anyone familiar with the BB2000/3000 models tried one?
Not tried one yet but I have a BB2000. At over 2 grand the BB2024 seems a mite overpriced to me. No doubt a great bass but that's a lot of dosh for a bolt on version of the original which would cost you considerably less. If you can find one that is! A rare and beautiful bass.

Has been sitting in the corner of my room for ages and I figure I might as well sell it on to a new home. It has a bit of wear and tear but is in good nick otherwise. Let me know if you are interested and we can figure out a sale price. Cheers, Vanessa
PM'd

  10. Heading for ebay if no interest - the economic crisis is alive and well by the look of it...!
  11. I'm bemused by the complete lack of interest in a great piece of gear at such a reasonable price...!

  13. Aphex 1402 Bass Xciter pedal combining Aphex's acclaimed Big Bottom and Aural Exciter in one unit. "The Aphex 1402 is ideal for all types of basses with magnetic or piezo pickups, active or passive. Voicing is tailored for deep tone and sustain while adding life to the bite or slap. Gives great action response and speeds up the attacks. Makes smaller bass rigs sound much bigger. Gives big rigs real thunder." This pedal does exactly what it says. I bought it to make my 2x10 combo sound 'bigger' and it did a fantastic job filling out the bottom end and adding sparkle. A bit like having an extension cab without the hassle. I've recently acquired a more powerful rig so someone else can now have the benefit of this great little unit. Powered by 1 x 9v battery or any external stomp box power supply (7 to 17V DC) with a 6mm x 2mm power plug (not supplied). - For an interactive demo go here http://www.aphex.com/demo1402.htm - For user manual go here http://www.aphex.com/pdf/pedals/Aphex_1400...es_user_man.PDF Pristine condition and in perfect working order. £45 + postage (£2.50) or collect (Horsham, West Sussex)
  14. Due to recent purchase of Bergie / LM rig must now move on my trusty 700RB/210. Really excellent combo, great tone and plenty of power for the size. Just getting too heavy for me to lift these days although the telescopic handle and 'lock'n'roll' wheel system does help a lot. Has been moderately gigged and served me well, very reliable and never had any problems. Very well looked after and in full working order with no issues. Looking for £325 ovno, collection only from Horsham, West Sussex. Please PM if interested, cheers
  15.
10bls matey..check this out. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=ostinato
Thanks. Like everyone else I'm having difficulty finding any info at all on the manufacturer. Seems a bit odd for such a quality looking instrument unless its a privateer custom builder? Serial number of 0005 suggests a small and exclusive operation!
  16.
Pics matey..hard to capture the neck profile..I find it very comfortable..a very shallow C shape...gets flatter as it gets nearer the body..
Can you put up some pics of the Ostinato headstock as well? Also what does the Ostinato weigh? Thanks
  17. Hi James, I'm somewhat older than you guys but live locally (Rudgwick) and am an experienced bass player. Currently play in Guildford based covers band Natural Souls (www. naturalsouls.co.uk). I'm looking for another music project to run alongside Nat Souls and yours caught my eye. An unusual mix of songs which is refreshing! Have to say I haven't played any of these before but I'm a quick learner and would be interested in giving it a go. I'm away on holiday next week but if you're still looking let me know and I'll follow up when I'm back (w/c 10 Aug). Please email me at [email protected]. Thanks Ian
