2. Someone be brave an make me a mad offer needs to go !
 3. Clever comedy innit? And he's always got the edge over the roger de courcys of the world.
Never.....
4. I've worked for a few famous ppl and have met a lot of other famous ppl but that's boring so here's my more tenuous claims!!! My mate and i were in a car on the motorway when he thought he saw the singer from iron maiden!!(whose name i can't remember) Another mate had been in the north east and bought cigarettes and sweets in a little shop owned by the Mum of the drummer from the group yes(think it was durham or consett) There was a picture of him on the wall(alan white).I'm a bit gutted i wasn't there for that one ,as i could have been. And a friend of mine once met Bernie Clifton and he had that emu thing he rides too.(they're actually his legs though, not the birds, the ones dangling on top are fake!!!)
 5. The warmest sounding to counter the paint/lacquer a bit(the 1st 2 pieces of rosewood look nice) If it was me though,it'd be a plain ebony fretless board!!(not impregnated)
Well, I know its not dark, but I aways like Birdseye maple, it looks great. Jon told me he doesn't like using ebony unless he's the customer says there is no chice. This was afater I had "issues" with the ebony board on the Sei I had that Jon had to sort out.
6. Sennheiser hd- 25 s shop around though cos about £60 price variant. sound pressure levels are great so the bass doesn't drop/fart at high volumes. expensive but last you years and completely modular so you can replace any parts if needed. Is that me shell on your pic btw? She good!!
+ another 1 for beyer dynamics, mine are actually designed for tv listening but I love the sound of my bass through them......... Lazz
7. Now SOLD (cheers G) thanks for all the enquiries, apologies to anyone i didn't get to reply to.
 8. Had a few offers so on hold pending for now thanks
 9. REDUCED TO £260 NOW!! And that's including the 4 way footswitch! And rack easrs fitted!!
 10. Gorgeous bass! I had a 4 string ,facings made from the same piece of wood. Apparently came from a 200yr old manor house that was being demolished, and a company salvaged it ,then used it as a step for years. Pete accquired the wood and i think he said he made half a dozen or so from it. Very nice.
It's now been posted up on the Baddassbassplayers forum as well.. Good news travels fast it would seem!
11. Cheers. The link posted is out of date and that shop wasn't able to supply them at that price or any other price almost a year ago. Yeah is same spec, but they told me themselves they didn't have it in stock and couldn't supply it. Mine also includes the 2 footpedals in the price too.(for the eq/octaver/overdrive),so i reckon £270 o.n.o is pretty fair?? Thanks Pete
http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product.asp?id=1992 I don't know if this is the link you mentioned. it's an evo II not sure if that makes a difference in terms of spec, i'm still undecided on an offer, especially after that pm.
12. Where? I thought they were discontinued about a year and a half ago? And was under the impression they were £450ish new? Feel free to make an offer on it then.
Don't mean to be a dick, but you can buy these new for £370 *shrug*
13. Here's a better pic from the ashdown website
 14. If i could shift some of my stuff i'd be after this ,have heard they're excellent
 15. Thanks,i was gonna convert it to fretless and still might if no one buys it.Works well fretted to though has lots of bite with roundwounds. That price should say offers too.
that's nice, shame it's not fretless, and shame i'm poor too...
16. Only Selling this as nobody seems interested in my eden navigator....and i probably have too many pre amps anyway! Mint condition, has built in octaver with it's own output,overdrive/boost with valve, the semi graphic eq,a crossover/bi amp, mute facilty, etc. The octave/(sub boost they call it) ,overdrive and eq are all footswitchable, and i'm including the two footswitches too. It's a nice sound through this and is quiet too . Oh yeah and importantly,it looks nice lit up of course.(is the one on the bottom sorry for crappy pic) Feel free to ask questions /try out. Please note this is a pre amp only,no power section. Looking for £220 for quick sale. Thanks Pete
 17.
Hammer, nail, head. IMO
And a great reason for shopping online imo (especially here !! some great stuff in the gear for sale sections )
 18. Might have been impressed if; 1. It was 1984-90 instead of 2008 2.If the rhythm/timing was better 3.If there wasn't a zillion people doing that stuff on you tube 4.If it didn't bring back memories of me playing/trying to play like that in the 80's with a bit of a mullet hairstyle goin on I couldn't watch much of it ,but At least he didn't start doing a "Tap-athon" (or did he?)
 19. It's a great bass but i can't get along with the Status neck profile. It has the piezo pick up with an active pre-amp,which gives some interesting sounds and has loads of bite when needetHE the piezo is good for experimenting with different strings ,flatwounds you get an old skool funk type soundS and more retro/upright with tape wounds. Is mint apart from one very small mark on front ,which is probably smaller than a pin head. Only got the 1 pic off my phone at moment will get some more up . Quite rare in 5 string ,i'm looking for £580 now if anyone's interested. Thanks Pete
 20. If you're using them for recording etc. you want closed, mainly cos they shut out outside stuff better and are more comfortable to wear for long periods. I've had Sennheiser hd 25s for about 7-8 years now and they're excellent as well as being completely modular (you can even buy just the ear cushions) More expensive but good quality long lasting and very robust.price varies though from £110 ish to £170 ish so shop around if you go for them.
Hi all Probably a stupid question, but I was hoping someone could explain to me the difference (benefit or otherwise) of closed versus open headphones. Also appreciated would be any recommendations for <£30 headphones that suit that down low vibe : ) Cheers
21.
UK Subs-Warhead
SNAP!!! :-) And there was me thinking i'd be the only one who'd know that song!! My version was played on a semi-acoustic guitar with the strings tuned down though!(and was really awful!!) When i got my 1st "proper" bass,it was also a Kay ,single cutaway on which i learned a Siouxsie and the banshees track 1st then yes stuff.(an it was painful!)
 22. The Wal now lives in Sweden, the guy purchased another 5 from me while he was over here in the summer and had that one with him. Nice bass. "Ok I have sold this one now, bought second hand and sold to a low profile member on the old Bassworld, who I think has quite a WAL collection. This was to get a 'proper 5' and to allow me to play synthbass lines (it was a Midi) but the project never came off and tbh the bass never seemed right for me as it seemed to have a few mild dead spots - possibly due to the hollowed out fretboard. Unusually for a Wal it had an unfaced maple body - wonder where she is now? Seen here with all the interface units."
 23. How about you get picked with someone then you have to go and find and listen to/buy/get hold of the last 5 tracks/ 5 different artists tracks that the person you are matched with bought? An review them!.... or does that idea suck?
I'm sorry guys, but this is really not a good idea. If basschat is seen as somewhere people openly arrange to exchange illegally copied CDs to each other as is being suggested it might attract unwanted attention and potentially cause trouble for the site owners. It would be better for people to send in their own original tracks for which they own the copyright. jus' sayin'
