I think with Custom Shop stuff, you can have what you want, I've seen CS 70's basses. Like you said, you're not sure if its a Time Machine series or not so might just be a straight CS 'reissue'.
I've seen second hand relics/CC's/NOS go for around £1,200!
Not sure how 'standard' CS's match up against the Time Machine range price wise!
I'd be semi-interested, but my Upright is still sitting here lol
This bass has had more owners in a month than I've had new Precisions in the same period

You've had a period?
I joined my first band with a gig in two months. I went out the following Saturday and bought my first guitar. You can play along to cd's until your knob falls off. You only ever learn how to play music by busking/jamming with other people.
+1
Although its an old thread, another tip i'd throw into the hat is:
Learn the parts of the songs so you know them like the back of your hand, don't worry to much about arrangements, unless a band has said that they do everything exactly like on the CD, most bands play about with arrangements so you should have an open mind and be listening out for the changes.
Glad the gig went well!

Sounds good to me!! Programmed drums?
The vocals get a tiny bit lost in the mix for me, could be just my speakers though.
But yeah, great song!

By the look of the bridge it's headed!?

I got my (mint at the time) 2004 USA S1 Jazz (sunburst) for £275! But that was a silly good deal based on connections
Sooo.....

Where they had the Bass Bash couple of years ago?
Life Cafe is it?

The Bart MM's are really nice, I have one in my 'Thingray', and I had two in my Corvette $$, But they really do benefit from a preamp, Barts are really quiet passive! They come alive with a decent preamp!
I'm using a 2 band East preamp in my Thingray

Oooooo, stack knob control plate?? :-D
If u part out, i got shotgun! The pots aren't for me though as I'm after 500k and i assume the Bravewood stuff is all 250k

Cheers
I doubt the average Slipknot fan has £1k to spend on a bass.
Isn't Paul Grey's endorsement and signature model with Ibanez?
(yes i know he played thumbs)
Mike, is that streamer you sold one that you got from Mike Walsh at The Bass Merchant? If so, that's a beautiful bass, played it while i was there about a year ago.
Warwickhunt, yeah good luck with shifting yours to, maybe you and my friend should hook up with putting them in the gallery, they can advertise them as a matched pair haha!
Cheers

I think what my friend is hoping is that the birdseye body pushes the price up.
He has gotten advice on the price, i believe from the gallery and a friend in denmark street.....although that could explain the high price
It is a lovely bass though
Si -
Am just the messenger
I did make him aware of the current Warwick slump, i think for that price he's gonna put it at the Gallery to!
Thats why I suggested he go for a trade perhaps, more likely to shift it methinks
Cheers

Ok, I'm listing this for a very good friend of mine! (so the price isn't down to me)
Its a Warwick Streamer Stage One 5 String, all stock as far as I'm aware, apart from the Birdseye maple body. I've seen Flame Maple bodied Streamers, but not Birdseye! Whether it was a really limited run, or Custom Shop I'm not sure!.
The condition is excellent, although there is some finger wear around the tops of each pickup where the thumb rests (pictured) and some tiny scuffs on the end of the headstock (also pictured).
He's in London and wants [s]£1600[/s] £1,100 ono for it! I think it's just a softcase with it, although I could be wrong, I'll double check
If you're interested and wanna chat to him about price or anything really...gimme a PM and i'll send you his number.
It's also now housed at The Gallery in Camden if you want to go and have a try!
Cheers

Yup, White Jazz does it for me a lot!!

Do you know what the body wood is, Basswood or Alder, US Pickups?
I know someone who might be very interested, has money waiting and can pick it up.
Any photos?

Get yourself down to the show!!!!!

I don't mind DT's intrumental stuff.....sometimes....for like 5 minutes
But dammit I can't stand the singer...horrible horrible lol
Plus - when you stand your P-bass next to your amp - it doesn't fall over like a Jazz bass does..........
That's why Jaco's is so scarred
Weird, my Jazz bass stands up much much better then my P-Bass (which, to keep the essence of the thread going, I LOVE lol).

Hey all
My friend wants to sell his Warwick Streamer 5, but is unsure about what it's worth.
As far as I'm aware, it's just a stock Stage 1, except for the fact that the body is Birdseye Maple rather then standard maple!
The bass seems to be immaculate except for some fingerwear on the body near the pickups (pictures available) and some slight scuffs on the headstock due to low ceilings (pictures available). I'm unsure of the year, but can find out, I think its safe to assume its not incredibly old
Any ideas?
I think i saw a very similar bass albeit a Flamed maple body listed here for £1000?
Cheers

I saw Akercocke support Opeth a couple of years ago....I thought they sucked, and come across as incredibly pretentious what with all the satanism stuff. But hey, each to their own of course
.
Opeth were funny though....Acknowledging to the crowd that while their name was similar, they weren't 'OTEP' and then saying in a rather Tongue-In-Cheek manner about one of their songs "Yeah all you guys will love this song....Its really Evil!!" haha
