      If the balance was good along with a good supportive strap, i would go up to 10lbs.

      This is a very interesting point and thread worthy in its own right.

       

      There are lot of people that struggle with weight and for good reason. So part of the answer is right there, because the individuals that suffer from a bass that is optimal weight + 'x' lbs, it probably wouldn't matter how much 'x' is because it becomes insufferable.

       

      Personally, I think I could cope with 10.4lbs as long as the balance was OK. That's what really plays my back up.

       

      The big question is, if weight is an issue, why would you buy it in the first place when there are so many great sub 10lb 5'ers around.

       

      I think we need to know more....and with pictures 😀
