  1. Cheers, Joe! It's a great compressor for the money, and I'd definitely keep it if I wasn't running my rig a little dirtier these days, I just find I don't need compression when I've got more of a driven sound going on. Liffordmark, I've sent you a PM!

EBS Multicomp - The most recent True Bypass model. I'm sure you already know about these, but if you don't, they're great pedals that are super simple and definitely an "always on" addition to your board. The attack time is built in, and not the fastest, so if you have an aggressive playing style they let your initial attack through and compresses after, so you get a really punchy sound. I'm after £70 posted, or a trade for an Aguilar Agro. Cheers, Dave
  3. The speaker sim is always on with the first generation pedals, and the deluxe model. The later pedal just added the option to turn it off. I would've thought the VT500 would be similar to the first generation, but it's a shame if it isn't, as I really like the speaker sim too. EDIT: By the description, it looks like the speaker sim is only on through the DI output on the VT500.
  4. This GAK video gives a pretty good idea of what the pedal can do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Go8-I9gkcww Sounds promising to me, at least in the higher treble/low gain settings. Interesting to know the bass and treble knobs are more of an EQ sweep rather than boosting set frequencies (that's how I understood it anyway).
  5. Up for sale is my Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe. Was bought new a couple of months ago, and is mint. Unfortunately I got rid of the box, but I'll make sure its packaged well. The only reason I'm selling is because I'm in the process of buying my first house and I need all the spare money I can get! £165 posted Dave
  6. Change of situation bump!
  7. Best cab I've ever had, and I've been through a lot. Good price too!
  8. Line 6 Relay G30. Comes with original box, paper work, cable and powersupply. £110 posted.

  10. Thinking about it, I think £550 is a fairer price for this. I think the last ones I saw available new in Europe were around £850, and that was without all the upgrades.
  11. I've found over the years of playing live that if I don't actually need something for the set, such as extra pedals on my pedalboard or, in this case, an extra string haha, its just another thing that can go wrong or get in the way! Simplicity is key for me. Thank you for the compliment dude
  12. Up for sale and for trade is my KSD 706 6 string jazz bass. I never thought I'd sell this bass, but as my band aren't playing songs that require 6 strings any more, it feels like a little bit of a waste to just retiring it to bedroom use only. I bought this from talkbass back in 2011. It's a pretty rare version of the 706 line (of which there are numerous slightly different models) as it came with a brass nut as standard and I haven't been able to find another that's had one since. Also the neck is made from Canadian maple, although I'm not sure how much difference that actually makes! I upgraded the tuning machines to Warwick ones, as the old ones weren't cutting it, and I also got the bass routed to fit EMG 45 dcs in, as well as space for two 9v batteries round the back, but it has Nordstrand big singles in now, wired passively, which sound bloody amazing. This bass has been on numerous tours, gigs and also a few video shoots with me, so its definitely in a worn state with quite a few dings, but nothing that affects playability. String spacing is 17mm. Scale length is 35". Weighs around 10 pounds, so pretty light for a 6 string jazz. Because of all the upgrades and sentimental value, I don't really want anything less than £550 for it. As far as trades go, I'd be after a 5 string jazz bass, something like an American Deluxe Fender, or a Sandberg tm5, with cash your way obviously. Here's a video of her when she had EMG DCs.
