1. Are you interested in a swap for a Warwick corvette Fretless currently here on basschat. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...ess+active+bass
2. Sold the SWR 350X. Had an EBS HD350 - no grit at all. Swapped it FOR A Markbass LMII which was pretty good in most situations but not much adjustment. Sold that to buy a 2nd hand Eden WT550 but that had too many knobs and no time to twiddle them so that got the elbow. I'm back now using my old Ashdown Mag backup amp and looking for something new. I do like the look of the Headlite, but it does sound a bit too light and the knobs are difficult to see at a gig. I'm waiting to try one against a Markbass
3. I had an old SWR 350X I bought second hand but felt I couldn't rely on it to do too many gigs it was a bit too battle worn. But I absolutely LOVED the sound I could get with my Matt Pulcinella Level 4 ad 2 Ashdown cabs. 4X8 and 1X15. I now want to buy another amp and am looking for an SWR with a valve pre-amp. But they seem to only do enormous ton weigh things like the 750X where you need to bring a fork-lift truck to get it on the cabs. Or they do the Headlite that is so light you would have to gaffa tape it to the cab in case it blew off in the wind...............boola boola
4. Lovely bass Is the string spacing at the nut similar to a Fender Jazz?
Thanks for the comments! Indeed it's a very good bass, with a quality similar to a Sadowsky, and the neck it's very stable (more than a Sadowsky NYC that I have). Bump!!!!
5. Also avaliable on Evilbay for £50 more to cover their costs. You know it makes sense
So I look on Basschat for a new amp and I just have a quick look at the basses and I end up wanting them all. So I'm putting up my lovely fretless to allow me to get something new. So here it is: a Warwick Corvette active fretless. in immaculate condition. with a rockback and straplocks. £600 or trade for a Matt Pulcinella Level 4 or similar light weight bass fretless or fretted. I try to stick to light weight basses but if anyones got a black Fender Jazz with maple board, I might be tempted. 7. Like it! Got any more pix. Back of the headstock. neckplate and back of body.
8. Time to put this on the 'Bay (sob!)
9. Here is my almost new Eden Nemesis EN12 80W kickback combo. Used only in the house. Its a kickback type but also comes with a velcro wedge to allow it to be upright. Quite a punchy beast with a 12" dual concentric speaker. This is the review. http://www.eden-electronics.com/info/revie...12Rev-Sep09.pdf £220 plus £28 postage. or will meet half way within reason. (PM me)

11. Looks great. You say its light weight. What is the weight, please.
12. What is the weight of this bass?
13.
I use mine in a metal band with two guitarists and I struggle with volume, a lot of it is just a change in mindset, instead of thinking I need more power I get the guitarists to play quieter.
So thats why they produced a matching power amp to go with it. I don't understand why you suddenly need 500W+ these days when the norm in the 1970s, 80s even 90s was 100W or 150W. I suppose its the desire for that HiFi quality means you need spare power with no distortion. I think the sound I like comes from a little bit of compressed distortion from the pre-amp and the speakers have to be driven.
14. Thanks for the info, guys. The Berg cab combination sounds interesting.
15. Hey, has anyone tried or bought the new SWR Headlite yet. They seem difficult to see in the flesh. I liked the sound of the old SWR 350X. Sort of fat dark tone. So I'm hoping I can get it with the Headlite. I had a Markbass LMII which I quite liked but not as good as the old SWR. I've tried Eden WT550 and EBS HD350 but didn't hit the spot.

20. Have the roundwound strings made much of a mess of the fretboard?
Any idea what this bass weighs? I need a good lightweight fretless. Cheers
