1. Sorry, DUHHH that was slow of me not to notice that! hmm my scales seem to be changing their mind all the time here. Any way just weighed it now in the kitchen, living room AND bathroom and it weighed 4.7kg / 10.4lb in each room today. Maybe the bass is on a diet.
2.
Hello, thanks, Cheers Arpi
The Bass weight 6.5kg. Thanks
3. Bump Arpi - I'll weigh the bass tonight for you. Thanks
4.
Man, I can't believe it is back here as I know how much you wanted this, so sorry mate but if it has to go, to has to go. I was talking to a mate about this bass a couple of weeks ago because it is the bass I used for our High Voltage performance last year and he wanted to know what had happened to it. Anyway for anyone reading this, Phil is a top bloke and a real pleasure to deal with plus the bass is bloody gorgeous. Good luck with the sale matey
I know shocking isn't it. I may even decide to keep this yet! Thanks for your kind words, hope your well mate.

I think it's all you need to get an idea, what you can be working on: http://www.music.sc.edu/ea/jazz/transcript...20exercises.pdf easy Laimis
Thanks for this Faithless much appreciated, great stuff!
6. Does anyone have any experience with these basses or even just tried one? I'd be interested to hear opinions on both the rockbass version and the more expensive one. Thanks!
7. Just wondering how many people on here dedicate any time at all to learning phrases? I've found it a great tool especially in improvisation, so i dedicate part of my practice time now to learning say 1 phrase a week in all keys, alongside scales, arpeggios etc. Im tending to pick phrases that I like at the mo. Just thought i'd throw it in here as I rarely hear of people practicing phrases and having just started to do this myself I'd definitely recommend it
8. Bump for a Saturday morning!
9. Thanks Chris - Love the Avatar!! Bump
10. For sale (no trades Im afraid) very very reluctantly this gorgeous Yamaha TRB6P which I bought last year from mattbass6 and if he doesnt mind I'm going to steal his spec! I am only selling because I got married in December and spent more that we originally budgeted for and need to come up with some money!! This is a reluctant sale as I have wanted one of these for a long time. [s]£1000 + p&p[/s] REDUCED TO £900. This is in absolutely beautiful condition. It has been set up professionally and has a neck and ebony board to die for. It is a Translucent Blue colour which are getting harder and harder to locate and has a sound that caters for all styles. It comes with it's original, brown Yamaha case and is currently strung with LaBella Supersteps. The string spacing is 19mm and the scale length is 34" and weighs in at around 10lbs. It currently has strap locks on that I will include. If you want to try it, then obviously not a problem. Thanks for your time and hopefully hear from someone soon. Grab a rare, beautiful bargain while you can. P.S. Here are the tech specs directly from Yamaha - Construction Neck-thru-Body Scale Length 33-7/8" (860mm) Neck Maple/ Mahogany Fingerboard Ebony Nut Width 2-3/16" (56mm) Radius 39" (1000mm) Frets 24 Body Figured Maple/ Rose/ Maple Bridge BPZ-6 (with Piezo) Pickups Single Coil x 2, Piezo Pickup Pickup Switch 2 Balancer Controls 5-Control System Hardware Gold Color Translucent Blue Piezo Pickups in Solid Brass Bridge The piezo pickups used on the TRB models use individual bimorphous piezo elements for each string, all built into a specially designed bridge which is machined from solid brass. Figured Maple Body with Thru-neck Construction The TRB-series basses feature figured maple bodies that offer the requisite tone as well as outstanding visual appeal. Neck-thru Models Because piezo pickups directly pick up the resonance of the instrument body, the body itself must be made from the finest woods and designed to deliver rich, deep tone. The neck-thru design of theses basses affords the best possible foundation for this amazing sound.

16. Yamaha APX900 only 6months old and cost £600 at the time. These can be bought new from GAK for £560. Asking price is £400 with stagg gigbag. 3-way A.R.T. Pickup System (with System 57 pre-amp) Solid Spruce top Flamed Maple Back and Sides These guitars are designed to provide great on-stage performance when playing with other musicians. The APX900 also features cosmetic upgrades and newly designed position markers for a guitar that is as beautiful as it is functional. The APX900 utilises Yamaha’s new A.R.T. (Acoustic resonance Transducer) pickup which offers the player the most natural sound of any acoustic pickup. The 3-way system used in the APX900 features separate pickups for full range, bass and treble and the System 57 preamp gives independent control over all 3 pickups, 3 band EQ and features and onboard chromatic tuner. Designed to be the ultimate performance pickup system, ART combines natural tone, outstanding dynamics and superior feedback rejection for an incredible on-stage experience. Thanks

19. Selling my Marleaux bass which was £2500 brand new from the local music shop 3 years ago. This bass is in absolutely mint condition and as you can see from the photos it really is beautiful. Has a massive range of tones i have not experienced on any other bass at all and has a very low action. The eye-catchin "single cut" Marleaux shape melds playability with ergonomics. The mBass hangs perfectly balanced on the player in the ideal position. The unique wood construction "glued-through" is responsible for the mBass's direct tone with a big fundamental, an earty character and a warm timbre. To complete the the basses natural long sustain is a long list of woods selected for their sonic characteristics, from which the customer can design his dream bass. 3 piece maple "glued though" neck - 5 string matching headstock maple neck and birdseye maple 24 fret fretboard 3 piece ergonomically formed body with top wood (unsure what the wood is) wooden electronic cavity cover Circuit - Marleaux 2 band JB EQ with passive tone control Marleaux MM / SC pickup with ebony cover Hardware - black Schaller Finish - matte finish Sorry for the poor photo quality it was taken with a mobile phone. Asking price is £1400 for an instrument in mint condition. No trades sorry. Many thanks
