1.
Hello Woody! The one I have is going up to Fife at the end of Jan. I could ship it to you first?
Aye mate that'd be spot on! Fire me off a PM once you're done with it
2. Did i read further back that there was one in Scotland? If so I wouldnt mind having a go. I'm in Aberdeen - Oldman on these boards would like a blast too. Let me know
3. Hmm i've been tempted by a sovtek muff for ages... Anyone know how it would compare to a blowtorch and mastotron?
4. Oh dear god. That was immense skill on my part there.... Thats what i get for posting ads while working! It does come with the pickup - I meant the GK cable. If i did that here makes me wonder if i messed up what i was working on. I will now crawl into a hole for being such a dingus! haha! Also the pickup appears to have dropped in price since i bought it. So now £70.
5. Hello, I am selling my synth stuff so this pickup is for sale. Comes with the risers/plate etc - Does not come with the GK cable (i got mine with the GI 20). I dont have the proper box, but i do have the instuctions. £200 or offers. Cheers
6. Someone should defo buy this. It is a pedal which is AMAZING fun.
7.
Is the 610 4 ohms? I've got a 4x10HE + 1x15 I'd be tempted to trade. I live miles away from you, in Gloucestershire, so could be a problem. Btw - someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but you might have problems combining the 4x10 'HLF' and 1x15HE as one's 4 ohms and one's 8ohms. I don't know what happens when you put those two together. Rich
Ooh very well noticed. Bloody HLF's and HE's! The 410HE and 15e are both 8 Ohm - so that would make the 4 ohm rating right? Cheers!
8.
I had a Markbass 6x10hlf cab (45kg), great cab but like you found the action of moving one big cab although fairly light a pain in the arse compatred to 2 smaller light cabs. Just as well you dont have an Ampeg 8x10 (64kg) then you'd realy suffer in moving it. I now run Markbass 4x10hlf's(29kg) & 1x15 hlf 's(29kg) cabs, much more tonal capacity too than the 6x10hlf, light & easier to move around. Markbass realy do make some superb cabs though, apart from their light weigh, the power handling capacity & tone are just leaps ahead of most other speaker cab makers these days. I love Ampeg amps, I use an SVT4pro but Ampeg cabs I find just dont give the tonal range like so many other cabs dont ither. Its always very important when looking for new cabs to take your amp along to good music shops & try various cabs along side one another so you can realy compare them to make an educated decision on what suits your ears (& pocket). Compromise always shows up in time. Good luck with the sale, lovelly cab.
Hmm i hadnt even considered mark bass. My heads an STV4pro too.... I'll have a look into them right now. The downside with living up here, is that the music shops are rubbish generally. Ashdown cabs mainly... bah. cheers
9. Cheers for the replies folks! Has anyone had any experience with the SVT 410 hlf? http://www.ampeg.com/products/classic/svt410hlf/index.html Coupled with the SVT 15e http://www.ampeg.com/products/classic/svt15e/index.html I'd be ideally sticking with the classic series if i stick with ampeg. I'd also be interested in peoples opinions for other cabs to go for maybe, i'd prefer them to be the same league as the classic series if that makes sense... Note if there would be a larger speaker on the bottom (bigger than 1x15 i could be interested too) Regarding the size of the 410/115 - it would just be easier to load in and out! The 610 is so awkward to shift around hah. Thanks again for the responses (sp?)
10. Hello, I'm thinking of getting rid of my 6x10 cab. As nice as it is, i feel a 4x10 with a 1x15 cab would be better. Anyone got anything they'd trade for this? Built like a tank and pretty much weighs the same so collection preferred but i will post if required. Well courier. Im not sure on a price yet but make me an offer
11. Hey guys, I'm looking to get a larger pedalboard shortly (PT pro) so i think i'll need some small cables. But i have no idea what to get. I got a travel bass thing the other week and it came with a cable that had a flat end (the input jack is on the back of the bass/onto my chest etc) So if i could get something that had a flat sort of end on each side i'd be happy. Any suggestions? Cheers
12. Heya fellow Aberdeen bass player. Whom i also work with. But still Hi.
13. Hello, Looking to sell some stuff that i've not gotten as much use out of as i'd like. I have a Roland GI 20 guitar to midi interface which i used with the Roland Gk3b - I'd be looking £250 for the both of these. Also i have a Novation Bass station rack - Probs looking for around £200. Let me know if anything tickles yer fancy. I might do trades too..... depending.. Cheers
14. Hey guys, I'm looking to sell my Mk1 Marshall guv'nor. I havent been getting the use out of it that i would totally like. If you're a rage fan and want the sound from Know your enemy etc, this pedal will do it. This is the pedal Tim Commerford used on the recordings. I would love to keep it, but needs must and i have some new toys i want. Looking for £100 ono - I think i might have the box still - i'll have a look - the pedals been on my board for a pretty long time. Cheers
15. Could be interested in the deep impact. Will let you know soon cheers
16. Yo dude, id defo be interested have you got a ballpark figure in mind? I have a gi20/gk3b/guvnor if you'd be interested? Cheers

bazz fuzz
Just read this thread my friend, has all the information you are looking for. Go back to the first post and read the whole thread, I promise by the end you will be much more enlightened than you are now. Reading this thread will also probably cause you to build your own mammoth clone as well ^_^
This is what i'm planning

bazz fuzz

I would quite like to get into building my own clones. But i have no idea where to start. Anyone know of any guides on the net for people who havent touched a circuit in the slightest for the last few years! Also is there any decent places to get the parts/enclosures etc? Thanks!
19. http://www.musicguard.co.uk/home.asp Is what i use to insure mine. I'm 13 quid a month which insures my lakland, Stingray and backline. Still need to add my pedalboard at some point!
20.
The Boss LS-2 should be able to do what you look for. Alternatively, (I hope it doesn’t sound like an ad) I designed a booster specifically for absolute transparency. I can modify it to activate an external loop when the boost is not active.
Oh this seems interesting. I'll fire you off a PM
21.
I was going to suggest getting someone to make a looper with built in booster on one loop. Then get a feedback control on there and your existing pedals will make weird noises!
Stupid question here. I've never actually known what a feedback loop does. Anyone shed some light on it? Also does anyone have any idea who would be the best bet to go to, to get something like this built?

Clean Boost

Hey guys, I'm looking for my next pedal to add to the weird noises. I just recently bought a Boss Slicer which is tons of fun and great for making noises, but i want something else. I Really want a Deep impact but of course they're like Hens teeth.... So i'm interested in something else that will make awesome noises (weirder the better!) - Currently on my board i have MKI Guvnor, Blowtorch, OC2, Fm4 and slicer. I am also looking for something to boost my clean levels, since when i hit the drive and fuzz off the volume takes abit of a hit. I've tried lowering the volume on the pedals but it just doesnt seem to have the same bite then. Does anyone have a clean boost pedal that is really good. Eg something just to give me abit more volume for the cleans, and finally is there anyway/pedal that will latch on when another latches off? So i hit a pedal off (my loop) and it engages the clean boost automatically. Or something? Would Barge be able to make a blender that inlcuded the booster (for example?) Any opinions would be great Davie
23. I am happy to let another band use my Cab if they ask. But there is no chance i'm letting another band use my head or bass. Been burned with that one before. Eg spend ages getting a sound i like, for some band to come mess with all my settings and EQ. Oh yeah couple that with not being thanked for using the gear or helping me load the stuff out. Yes thats right just stand and watch me drag my cab up stairs on my own. If they ask me, i'm happy to let them use the cab though.
