  1. I use the DCX as mid to high gain overdrive now, then the Fliptop is more for the B15 saturation. I like how it drives the Neptunium(creamy saturation from the Fliptop and a hefty cleans from the Nep sounds amazing to me). I set the eq flat on the Fliptop now and tweak from the Neptunium. Neptunium for XLR out access since we do ampless setup. Here’s a quick noodling https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Gp8h2MM0Qzp-3TxGU1JbdBMsJ0euKgZ_/view?usp=drivesdk
  2. My current board after downsizing and sticking with bare necessities. I offloaded alot of pedals recently due to an emergency back home in the Philippines. I'm just glad that got sorted and I still have a board to work with.
  3. Can't wait!!
  4. Price drop to £100 Bought brand new from bassdirect for £166. This is a quick sale as I don’t have a need for it anymore. This thing can sound almost like a Doom2. Very synthy and can also sound in-yo-face disgusting! Quick demo here. Compared it to my Octabvre Mini and played the fuzz like how I would use the Doom2. Slightly negotiable. Will come with the original knobs and packaging with manual. Any questions feel free to message me. Postage included!
  5. Thanks for the insight mates! Looking to score a nice DJ5 in few months time. Hopefully find a good light weight one. 4-4.2kgs is my sweetspot. Otherwise I'll go back to the 55-02. This one weighs at 4.05! https://thebassgallery.com/collections/all/products/lakland-2
  6. I've had good experience with 55-94 and 55-02 but sold it due to circumstance. Now I'm looking to try a DJ5 and just want a passive 5 string bass. Contemplating between this or a BB435
  7. Selling most of my gear due to an emergency bill I need to cover. This one must go as much as I love it. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or want more pics. No trades please as I need cash. Price is slightly negotiable so just message me. Postage included! BROUGHTON STUDIO ONE £300 - SOLD Comes in original white box
  8. Rinsing on this amazing song by Elevation Worship called New Thing Coming. Just having fun with bassline ideas as we will be playing it this Sunday. My best bud Joseph Kristoffer on the guitars mixed it nicely too! Met him in Every Nation London few years ago and he's one of the finest guitarist I've known and had the honour to play with. He teaches me alot about recording/mixing, theories, encourages me on being better in my instrument, as a musician and as a Christian. Lastly we GAS together lol We serve together in church and we do occassional jams like this when we are both on the same rota Love how It echoes the scripture of Isaiah 43:19, where God declares, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." This song, like the verse, speaks of a divine shift, a spiritual awakening, and the promise of a new beginning.
  9. Jim bought my Omnicomp. Nice guy and easy to communicate with. Showed great interest in my listed item and made quick payment with no further questions. Fantastic lad, highly recommend! Thanks, Chad
  10. Would love to keep these fantastic pedals but due to an urgent bill I need to cover, I have to let them go. No trades please as I need cash. 11. Would still want an OE! The Celebrity pedals one looks tacky and bulky. Although it sounds good. Could have placed the tube like Markbass or Revolt. If the intent was to imitate the placement of the tubes like the Fliptop but in a pedal format then it’s understandable.
  12. 1st one is the Octabvre Mini and 2nd One is the Okto Nojs. They both have unique rawness and girth. When in music context they both gel really well. Playing around with the Okto Nojs for now. The 3leaf will be in the shelf in the meantime
  13. Trying the Emma Okto Nojs. 3leaf Trifecta on the sideline for now. Here's my almost all blue gear for this iteration. Love the synth fuzz and I can say it comes real close to my Doom2. The Octabvre Mini has more thud and rawness. 3Leaf is more refined IMO but really liking this. And for a 145gbp octave+fuzz this is really good and an amazing discovery for me! It can cover alot of synth sound that I usually do. Can also go chaotic fuzz. Quickie demo and comparison with the Octabvre mini. And some Snarky Puppy jam at the end Okto Nojs.wav
  14. We played Lion and the Lamb too! Nice setup!
  15. I’m on the fence getting that Subsonic just to add to my growing Broughton collection. If only we aren’t moving houses by April otherwise I’ll buy that by May
  16. Npd! Thanks to MrDinsdale for the reco!
  17. Do share your 55-94. I’m missing mine dearly. This year looking to add a 5 string in my rotation. I’m mostly using a Pbass now but I realized how much I need a 5 string especially on function/pub gigs
  18. State of my main board. Found a £20 nano+ in fb marketplace and rewired my board for the nth time
  19. That looks ace!!
  20. Beautiful board Brough!
  21. Had a spare Pedaltrain PB-3 riser and put together this basic board for tomorrow. Love the Fliptop so much it’s my core tone and always on. The Studio One refines it further and just makes it smooth and silky as how I would describe it. Only thing is that it takes time to tweak and find the sweet spot and settings of this thing
  22. Not much demos on youtube but this one definitely adds to one of my fave preamps. I’ve only fiddled with it for a day but dang! It seems like it puts a smooth polished finish on the end of my chain. No matter what I do to the signal prior (fliptop and comp settings) once it hits the Studio One it cleans it up, smooths it out and makes it sound like a better warmer version of itself if that makes sense. I've never been able to get clean low-end like this, I tend to push the low-end a bit but still has nice definition and heft. There’s some kind of Broughton Magic on the red gain knob. You can’t overdrive it unless there’s a boost or drive pedal in front but it adds a rich warmth to your tone. I feel like I can push this further with much clearer, usable results. Studio quality indeed, Love this thing! Here’s how it sounds when I got this few days ago I immediately tested it. Fliptop into Studio One. No mixing on the DAW in my bass track. It’s my settigs on my pedals only.
  23. This thing is so easy to dial. Very transparent. I can say this is definitely my fave among the Cali and Empress I’ve had. It’s like you’ll never know it’s on till you turn it off. This is my current fave setting.
  24. 1 Brough became 2 Brough and now 3 Brough. NPD! Just got the Studio One few days ago.
  25. Good luck with our sale mate!
