1. I had to get my copy from Amazon US site, took a while to come through (cost was about £25 all in), though was worth it Amazon Uk have a used copy here for £13.60: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0...;condition=used
it did go out of stock at one point....but would like a copy at sometime....cheers.
2. I'd add Duck Dunn's book: 'What Duck Dunn' into the mix here too ('33 transcribed R&B classics as played by bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn')
No, both are essential
3. The Bass Gallery in Camden is an Aguilar dealer
Question—Where are the Aggie dealers in London?
Kev bought a Trace preamp from me and couldn't have been easier to deal with: Happy to recommend him to anyone. P
 5. I've seen them twice this year at the Jazz Café and would recommend them to anyone
 6. The shops you mention are all good - though as you be doing a lot of travelling, I would phone first to check what's in stock.
You know the score, the guitar shop is vast, loads of stock and at the back a couple of basses and that's it. So where's the place to try out alot of bass guitars? Bass Direct in Warwickshire? Bass Merchant in Colchester? Get travel to London and get an Oyster card? Or does your local town have an unusual number of great guitar shops? Planning a Spring campaign to find a cheap P bass type.
7. I'm not looking for anything at the moment - was just confirming that generally the US dealers won't (can't) export Ernie Ball bases
last time i was in the bass mercahnt they had a blue one in.
8.
Well done on getting a Musicman out of the USA! I've tried in the past and they said Ernie Ball don't let them export.
I've had the same response form Basscentral, though Chris's one was from an eBay sale in US
 9. 1 sold to Poorcow and the other to Essexbasscat Both PM'd at 08:31 Unfortunately local Basschatter Hobbayne, just missed out at 08:33..
 10. <<NOW Both SOLD>> Had two of these Italia Leather bass straps delivered last week, unfortunately I ordered this standard length instead of the longer ones that I wanted. They are high quality black suede (black front and back) 4 inches wide straps - length is 37'' to 39'' (adjustable) They are both new - one was fitted on a bass for a couple of minutes - that was when I realised I hadn't the ordered the longer one that I prefer I'm selling for £20 each to include p&p or you can collect from Harrow Middx (still gonna cost you a score!) Link here: http://www.italiastraps.com/suede-straps.htm Retail is $65 each, though I did get a deal on them!

 17. Cheers Jas, Pau Ferro it is
Pau Ferro is standard on fretless EBMM stuff I think and this looks like exactly that. It's slightly harder and lighter in colour than Rosewood.
18.
Do you know how light?
I make it 9 Lbs max
 19. Forgot to mention that it was quite light weigth for a 'Ray, thanks Mart
Just to say that this is a cracking bass and if it wasn't for the fact that I've got a Ray5 fretless (that isn't the easiest thing to sell) I would have this back in a flash, it's a lovely lightweight example too. Good luck with the sale.
22. NOW SOLD For sale is a Trace Elliot V Type valve preamp - This is a 1U rack unit and is excellent order, in that everything works and there are no noisy pots etc There are some cosmetic scratches on the top casing, though of course they are invisible when mounted in a rack case. Merton sold it to me for the bargain price of £130 and I will sell it for the same I'm based in Harrow Middx I will add some pics tomorrow
