1. Meshell is doing some dates around the UK, Stopping off at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Playing on the same stage as Clint Eastwood's son a few years back.. Magical music. and she always gets the bass out, as that is what is her.
 2. Originally by Creative Source (thank you Beta Funk) then more famously done by my bread and butter, Earth Wind and Fire. I just think his playing is so musical. I have this album, but strangely only listen to this and other record. The rest is ermm not to my taste. But imo, this is phenomenal playing. He records the bass in 2 parts, as you can hear. On his technical ability alone its just way out there, but the way he plays around those chords is just so very clever..I love Steve Harris Meshell, Marcus Miller, Pino, but know one does it like Victor. ... Not everyones bag, but it ticks me boxes.
 3.
Be interested to try one. Same price level as the Dingwall Combustions so stiff competition, but only really comparable with their Super J/ Super P which of course is very much more expensive. I am not entirely sold on the concept of fanned frets at that kind of scale length, though. Amazingly useful for lower tunings and a strong 5th string at the full 37-34 inch fan, not sold on the usefulness and effectiveness of a fan from 34.5 to 32.5, although this is actually a longer scale than the Dingwall Super J/P!
I really don't think he needs to make them. Unless for a specific order. Maybe he's just showing what he can do.. Which is pretty astounding imo. How he makes basses so amazing for the price is anyones guess.
 4. Bass Direct seem to have a lot more stock, of Adrian Maruszczyk's basses. http://www.bassdirec...NSTRUMENTS.html Can i say i absolutely love the Cort GB5's. I know Randy HOPE Taylor playes one.
 5. If it said Sadowsky on the title, players would be all over it. These Maruszczyk's are as easily as good as Metro's.
 6.
I really hated Rock It. I never gave him any chance as I never knew anything about him. However, I was Youtube browsing a few weeks ago, and came across a concert with Tal Wilkenfield on bass. I realised there was a lot more to him than Rock It. I need to look up more stuff by him
You know this gonna be funky. Does anybody know who the drummer is.?
 7.
I love a bit of Herbie, hard to pick a favourite bit this one is up there And this one is a bit of music history, helping to bring hip hop into the mainstream
Rockit was one of those tracks that got me into Hip Hop. This and Eric B and Rakim.. Superb stuff he did with Hip Hop
 8.
Sorry over my head , can you explain ?
It was very warranted trust me. Did anyone do a Funk version of Bridge Over Troubled Water.?
 9.
Huge fan of HH - this is one of my favourites. Funnily enough I have previously posted this in funk thread and was told that it is not funk! Just goes to show how different perceptions are:
That is fantastic. As usual Roland you out music me.
 10.
Not sure what genre this falls under. But, it's great (well I think so). Check out the groovy Bass playing from 'Tom Barney' The vocals and harmony are beautiful.
Awsome.!!!! Im not sure either. Great bass playing from Tom. Its a fantastic EWF cover though.
 11.
You mean there's more than one man with that name? Wow! Confusing!
PM 'd you mate. You must be up.
 12.
Love these guys. I had the pleasure of introducing them on the main stage last year at Camp Bestival.
WOW.!!! Thats very cool Rungles.
 13. This is just fantastic.. He's a real musical hero of mine. The layers of instruments are great on this very funky record. He's such a fantastic Pianist, and one of the all time greats of music. and a master of the funk.
 14.
Robben Ford covers this beautifully, if you haven't heard it - lovely bass! ...
fantastic.!!!
 15. An epic Glock/Bartolini loaded Maruszczyk Elwood 5 ?
 16. Another great Maruszczyk. Love the dot inlays..
 17. Very Very cool.! These just don't come up very often. Especially the fretless version.
 18. Ok. Yeah shouldn't be a problem belimad..
 19. He's great at laying that groove down. But yes, you really have to have good hand posterier for that one. There is a slide down that Julian does. If you have a 5 string the fingering is without the slide but just as taxing. Im sure even Julian didn't find this easy.
