  1. This happened to me with a cheap power supply. I would definitely recommend getting an isolated power supply. The noise will most likely be coming from an underpowered pedal, or a digital pedal in the chain. I can highly recommend the MXR ISO Brick, you will also be surprised how much pedal your pedals sound when they are properly powered

  2. It will be tricky to get the articulate sound you are talking about with a p bass. I would go the opposite direction and put some flatwounds on it and roll the tone all the way off. That's where is magic is on a p bass in my opinion. As suggestion chromes are good, I also really like la bella's

  3. The problem with the staccato is that the flat setting on each eq control isn't actually the eq set flat (this is the difference between the staccato and the RH450, it's set to Rocco prestia's preference) I'm sure that there is a way to change the response of each EQ so that you can set it flat like you could with an RH450. It's probably within the shift functions. If you can get it to set flat, you could then dial in the scoop that you like.

  4. I am also looking to get a synth mainly for bass. I really like the idea of a moog, however the keys player in my band is recommending the notation ultranova. Has anyone got experience with this, say over the Bass station 2?

  5. I have serious GAS for a moog right now, either a sub fatty or a sub 37. I'm wondering if any fellow basschatters have bought a moog then regretted it / not used it as much as they thought they would?

  6. I guess it's possible that the break angle after the nut could have been affected if the tuning pegs were a slightly different height. Next time you change strings try to use more or fewer wraps around the post to create the same sort of angle you had with the original tuners.

  7. I would give the RH450 or RH750 a play if you can. I run a RH450 with a RS212 and an RS210, and it is clear that the products have been designed to work well together. Yeah the RH heads can give you option paralysis but I find that running flat both my p bass and my active basses sound really good. It's also handy have awesome compression and a world class tuner on board.

Get a bitcrusher. I really like the iron ether frantabit. The mooer lo-fi machine is also good, and I also have my eye on the meris ottobit jr.

I just got a frantabit and it's incredible! But I wouldn't have it as my only pedal, I feel it gives a little extra to so many effects, plus it's crazy fun to mess with. To answer the OP question I would say an octave pedal OC2 ideally
