    The Suzi Quatro one was comedy gold. Just in case anybody hasn't heard it yet, she had a new Xmas single out that really returns to her Detroit roots - EVERYBODY kept telling her. Boy George and Lol Creme came across very well. There's been a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere so far (apart from Ms Q).

    What was so bad about the Studios? I did try a Studio 5 once - I didn't like it much, but I'm not too fond of 5 strings or modern Thunderbirds so it was never going to work for me.

    It's not pointless at all! Instant Machine Head. And it's great when running in stereo for copping the early Geddy and Chris Squire tones. Admittedly, if I'm gigging straight into one amp, the vintage mode isn't really useable live, but in the studio or in stereo it's invaluable - it's what a Rick should sound like to me.
