I bought it cause it was cheap and at least it picks up my B string. the Markbass is simply put, the best amp I've ever owned. the Voltage Regulator, is a really important part of my setup. I REALLY recomend people with expensive equipment to go and buy one. Basically, it does 3 things... 1) it regulates the voltage that it supplies to the head, tuner and anything else I want to connect to it to an EXACT 230v. no fluctuations, so my equipment can run at the perfect conditions it was meant for. 2) It protects my equipment from surges 3) regarding point 1, this means less or no static noise. sometimes the only clue that the amp is turned on is hearing the fan/seeing the lights

I set it up last night, took it to band practice and I just wasnt ready for that sound... I think I'm going to put a "NO SALE" sticker on that one to remind me that if it doesnt sound as good as it used to, it needs a setup.

I used to have a 325, for some stupid reason I sold it, and I've regretted it ever since. Never had a bass with such a thin comfortable neck for a 5'r... I've got nicer basses now, but I still cant get that one out of my head. I'd buy it back in a heartbeat.

My main bass is an ESH Stinger V "Real Gothic". Don't think you can get them anymore. Either way, its had a few customizations done to it. No more Esh-tronics, instead its got an Artec 3-Band Preamp, and its been stripped down to natural, making a sexy ass instrument.

I got one and they are awesome basses indeed. Mexy, but sexy. I've got the sunburst.

Guys, I'm currently thinking of getting myself another 5 String bass, Though I'm kinda at a loss of what to get, so I'd like to hear some of your opinions. Basically, what I'm looking for is a good allround bass, something that isnt so specifically voiced as an MM for example... I play rock, hardrock, metal and Funk. And something that is still affordable, so no Sadowskies or Jerzy's (I WISH)... Locally, I've been looking through Forums and there isn't all that much that attracts my attention, but these have me mildly interested. [b]Warwick Thumb 5 Bolt on[/b]. Classic Warwick tone. 2 x MEC Jazz style pickups, jammed so close to the bridge that this thing cant help but honk. Active passive switching, bass and treble control. Ovankol body and neck, wendge fretboard. Made in Germany. [b]Cort B5 Natural Mahogany[/b]. One of our most popular 5 strings. Wendge neck, rosewood board Bartolini pickups, active preamp. Excellent sounding bass for an amazing price. Hi. can anyone hazard a guess at what the body wood is? I'd have thought it was Ash, but this thing is Heavy as a mofo... sounds nice and dark too.
