Well, this would appear to be an rather excellent deal! 

Nearly bought that when I was in that store the other day... managed to exhibit some level of self restraint and walk out without it! Looks to be sold now. 

Excellent, I do need some new colours to really perfect my sound. I mean, what is sound if not colour for the ears?

Luckily for those that don't like the sound of red, they have Yellow for slightly less dollarbucks.

I actually very much like Dookie and all songs on it. It's genuinely a great album of its time and genre. 

@Phf bought an Ashdown rig from me. He paid a deposit, I kept it for a week or two, he came to collect when he said he would, cant ask for more than that! A nice and easy transaction and another credit to Basschat!

A Music Man USA BFR 6 strong Bongo. An absolute beast/beauty of a bass.

There are 8 grades, each more difficult than the previous one with more challenging songs as part of each grade. Fairly simple concept to be honest!

I wish her the very best - it's a great university, amazing grounds and one of the best music courses available in the UK.

She was going to go with Orion by Metallica or Hysteria by Muse but thought they've probably heard those dozens of times so wanted to play something different. My suggestion was Maxwell Murders by Rancid but she says it's too Ska to show what she wants to do. 

Same course as me then! Though I went some 18-19 years ago. 

Maxwell Murder is a very challenging piece to play... if she's capable of playing that then she's already well ahead of the pack!

Going slightly off-piste has its risks, but if you can play something new, different or in a style that they've rarely come across then you'll be afforded more room for error! 

Also, if you've not been yet, the grounds of Bath Spa University are absolutely fantastic, the lake, the castle ruins, the rare trees and foliage. Plus Bath is a great city. My halls were 'Hiscocks', small rooms but it did the job. Fingers crossed she'll get it. Joe Bennent, who was course leader in my time, but I believe is now Professor of Popular Music, is a really good guy too. He had a killer 1960 something Paisley strat he brought out a few times. 

I did a similar audition prior to getting accepted into Bath Spa Uni YEARS ago. I played Stu Hamm's tap rendition of Moonligh Sonata by Beethoven. Always good to do something that makes you stand out! Best of luck to her, I'm sure she'll nail it. 👍 

People will just pass these ads by without photos... Asking £2000 for a bass has to be worth the effort of adding a few photos!

Right number of frets, wrong number of strings! 24 and 6 is the correct number of frets and strings. 👍 

Love my BB750. I've had a fair range of Mesa amps and this one is the one I find to be the best all-rounder. Does everything you could want an amp to do and sounds excellent doing it. 

Cheap for anyone in the area!

SKY Glass. Absolutely shocking. SKY itself is fine, but their TVs are woeful. Went back within 2 weeks. Appreciate that's not bass gear, but it needed saying!

I did message the guy on eBay just to ask him who the 'Pro Players' and 'Collectors' were that said this bass was a great investment, and to ask why they'd not snapped it up themselves. He did respond, but with absolutely no real answer to my question, as expected! What did make me chuckle is that he actually signed off with 'Master Bassist' 🤣 

...Master Bator maybe.

Ridiculous. The whole ad seems designed to confuse someone into thinking this is more that what it is. $2000 might be an achievable number, so he's about $60,000 North of reality in his asking price. 

Potentially it's due to the size and weight of that cab, for a 610 it is a bit of a monster! I had a 610 Mark Bass cab some years back, absolutely excellent things! If someone has a strong back, this is a great set up.
