1. Hi All. Here we have my 2014 American Standard Jazz Bass finished in the awesome Olympic white with tort pickguard & rosewood board neck with it's OHSC and case candy still intact. High mass bridge with string through option. Currently string with Elixir strings through the body, can put some nicely worn in La Bella flats on it (not through the body!) if you'd prefer. Case is the much nicer vintage looking one if that sort of thing is important to you. I've owned this bass from new and I've really looked after her. I think It's a real shining example of an excellent U.S. Jazz. It plays amazingly well, Good action & setup, beautiful & versatile tone, excellent workmanship and stunning looks. Bass was bought new late 2016 from Dawsons in Warrington. Has been giged and rehearsed with extensively since then, but doesn't show any obvious signs of wear. So why, you may ask, am I wanting to part with this magnificent beast? As great as this bass is, it's tonally not what I am looking for at this time and I require something with a bit more thump to sit with my new bands sound. So in an ideal world I am looking to swap for one of the following USA Standard Precision Bass in the same colour or black/Sunburst. AVRI '62 Precision again in either White/Black/Sunburst. Sandburgs and USA G&L also considered. I'm not desperate in the slightest to sell this, so no low ball offers please ;-) Any questions or offers do not hesitate to get in touch. Thanks Seán
2. That is lovely. Everyone should have a G&L especially a three bolt USA one ;-)
3. What's the craic with these then ? Where do the bodies and necks come from ?
4. Bought a genz Benz head from Daveyboyrooster. Perfect condition with case and foot switch. No issues.
5. Bought a markbass cab from stephent. Perfect condtion as described. No issues.

9. Price or Trade Value : £300 8 ohm Markbass TRV 102p, with a roqsolid cover. This one is the Italian made one. Approx 3 years old It's been gigged about a dozen times. Excellent condition. I'm just after something more vintage sounding. Collection only from Chester or I can deliver for a small fee within a 100 mile radius of Chester Here is the spec from Markbass site. SPEAKER SIZE 2x10 in. BASS PORT rear TWEETER piezo POWER HANDLING 400W RMS (AES Standard) CROSSOVER FREQUENCY 3.5 kHz FREQUENCY RESPONSE 45 Hz to 18 kHz SENSITIVITY 101 dB SPL WEIGHT 27.78 lbs / 12.6 Kg
10. Yes 900 watts at 4 ohms. It's very good, but I find the number of dials bewildering
11. For sale is my Genz Benz Shuttle Max 9.2 Amp. Loads of specs here ( http://www.genzbenz....&sid=610&cid=95) but basically a dual channel FET and tube preamp and a 500 watt at 8 ohms power amp. Bought from a seller on here and in perfect condition which I'm sure he'd attest to. Included gig bag and foot switch. Only weighs 7 lbs. Too complicated for me in all honesty, I'm a plug it in and turn it up kind of guy Based in Chester, and I'd prefer not to post.
12. Nah, it's the gauge the d and the g are identical bar the ballends being a different colour. Was a cheap experiment in flats, and baring this I may persist, the tone really suits what I do in the context of the band I'm in.
13. Just had a set delivered today which I abesent mindidly put on. Ball end colours all correct, started tuning up, got to the G string, thinking wow this is taking a lot of effort to get up to pitch. Not to worry, must be a flatwound thing, start playing, bloody hell that G is really stiff. On closer inspection I've got two D's masquerading as a D and a G, so first venture into flatwound world has not gone well! I'm waiting on a response from the retailer but in the meantime does anyone know where I can get single Fender flatwounds from ?
14. Will consider trades. PJ bass, or basically anything with a J style neck on it
