I am amazed at how different they all sound from each other. It's reassuring to hear that some others obviously struggled with the same things I did....

I loved my Sessionette 100 4x10 combo....... but my Carlsbro Cobra90 head was as sh*te as a visit to the can after a night on guinness, curry AND kebabs with extra chillies and chilli sauce... Edit: nearly forgot the Marshall MB150 in our rehearsal room is almost impossible to get a decent tone out of. If the room we're in has that in when i turn up without my own rig, it is immediately swapped for something [anything] else.

Debuted the H1 at rehearsal tonight attached to a mic stand in the middle of the room with the input level down at 10/100, recording 44.1/16bit....came out marvellous after running it through audacity's compressor when I got home to bring it back up to reasonable levels. Bunged a 32GB Sandisk micro SD card in it so should be good for a fair few rehearsals. Well chuffed The quality is astounding. Now I will have no excuse for not remembering that new song we played 6 weeks ago......oh well can't win 'em all. thanks chaps

I want a stereo hand held recorder to record rehearsals and jam sessions. We are currently 'writing' an album and many ideas get floated at rehearsals but I can never remember them as I have never recorded them. Often we will work on an idea during rehearsal but often there are bits I play at rehearsal that, when i play them I think they sound great but soon forget what I did. I'd like to record these in an efffort to include all the best bits when we eventually finaliase an arrangement. I just want something I can place somewhere out of the way, leave it running then review everything on the computer when i get home. Suggestions?

I learned bass before guitar I can't get on with guitar as the frets are too close together [as are the strings] and everything feels cramped!!!! So I have the exact opposite problem

It doesn't even attract excess baggage charges on most airlines although will have to go through the outsize checkin. Furthest distance it gets carried is from the house to the car or from the rehearsal studio car park to the rehearsal studio...or the airport car park to the shuttle bus or the shuttle bus to a trolley or from the destination airport trolley to the back of the van or a taxi.....or from the taxi to the hotel lift or the venue dressing room...never far. My bass lives in its flightcase when it's not being used and the flightcase goes everywhere the bass goes. yes I do have another lightweight hard case for a Pbass but that never gets used these days as the full flight offers so much more protection when bashing into doorways etc.

Get a full flight case. I fly with my bass all the time. Always in the hold in a full flight case. I really don't understand why you lot all make such a fuss about flying your basses - umpteen flights and never a problem. The roqsolid cover arrived today so I have erected it in my office so it makes it look like I have a S12T....it's alittle bigger than I thought it would be and am now having doubts it'll fir in the boot of a GT86.....

I have a Behringer BCR2000 midi controller with a load of assignable knobs on it. It does what it says on the tin and is very useful.It was also significantly cheaper than the competition. I also have a little Behringer headphone amp with multiple outputs which works well....it's a little odd having a few of you in a 'silent' room listening to the same thing through headphones. Ha Ha I rate the behringer stuff I have bought

I ordered a Marshall fridge through a nationwide chain of music shops on 9th July 2012.....I am still waiting for delivery....latest update this week was 10th April 2013......I am not holding my breath. [they charged my CC on 9th July too - ouch!!] This I have learned to live with but I so need my cab.

Just bought a pair of jack to speakon cables from Lozz. Magnificent service - he even delivered to my office!!! (he does work around the corner)... Wouldn't even keep the change which i offered him for his trouble. Diamond - quality geezer. Shame it was so cold - I could've chatted for hours.

[/quote] These days that is all it is to me. It's all it needs to be. I have a good day job that pays well so the music is just a hobby. If I didn't have the band I am in I suppose I would seek out a covers band or the like but I like what I have and intend to keep doing it for as long as promoters allow us to.....

I'm not. Never have been. Never will be. I am happy playing half a dozen gigs a year, almost all on the continent to fans that know and love our tunes, staying in comfortable, if modest, hotels and having expenses paid weekends away with my mates. I can't imagine what playing in a covers band down the pub might be like.
