Mailman just dropped this off all the way from Bass Direct! I couldn’t resist taking a quick peek, although I haven’t played it yet. I’m letting it acclimatize in it’s case. It’s a lovely looking thing !

I was going to use a flame maple fingerboard but thought ebony looks great! Might go unlined fretless

This is my last J bass for a while before I start on something a bit different! Keep an eye out for 6 string headless Krome bass! here we have alder, maple veneer and camphor burl top. It goes a lovely almost walnut color when wetted. I’m think gold hardware, ebony fingerboard and maybe gold Evo frets.

I wonder if the cab has separate compartments? Just generally curious about this speaker cab. I wouldn’t want to move this around. Probably too long for any estate car!

Thanks Dave. The problem is they are rarely seen here in Canada. I prefer to pick a bass up and see how it feels , but may have to take a chance a ship one over! the only experience I had with Delano’s was on my Mayones. I hated them and put in Barts, with East. so that’s the only thing I’d be concerned about as they seem to only use Delano’s.

Sandberg is one of the few makes I’ve never owned. How is build quality compared to the competition? I just stumbled across their 35year anniversary model and it looks wonderful. The price doesn’t though!

You may remember my NBD a week ago with the red Adam Nittie Ibanez. Well, that went back to the store. It sounded epic, but there were so many little build issues I couldn't live with. So, here's what caught my eye. Elrick Evolution Gold 5 with Buckeye Burl top. I like the fact that it has dual coil Barts and three band Bart preamp.

Is 18mm considered close? I’m sure my old Ibanez was 16.5 this feels super comfy!

New bass just arrived. Adam Nitti signature. Not like the usual Ibanez slim necks. Chunkier and perfect 18mm string spacing which I think is a little more than others they make. Bart pickups and preamp sound fantastic.

Just bought a HDN210 to stack with my HDN410. I can hear things much better now. And it looks way cooler! The OCD got the better of me and I had to move the Bergantino logo and rotate 90 degrees 😆

I have a Jabba Classic 5. I upgraded to birdseye fingerboard, 18mm spacing (which meant Delanos) and their three band eq. The build quality and attention to detail cannot be improved upon! Really top notch. The sound, however, a different story. The Mayo 3-band eq is horrible IMO, and I really didn't like the Delanos (personal taste). So in went Bart B-Axis, and East Uni-Pre. NOW it is the bass I hoped for! Oh, I also have a Vigier. On par with that!

I used to connect my Radial Bass bone to return on my GK1001. Sounded great. Then I bought a Bergantino Forte HP amp, tried the same, but sounded nicer with the Berg preamp. Sold Bassbone!
