  2. Bump - Am willing to throw in my red daps with this amp if it sells so you too can look as accessorized as me! (you don't want the shoes - trust me!)
  3. Sunday morning bump - anybody after some classic trace tone? Don't make me put it on the dreaded ebay!
  4. For sale is my Legacy thunderbird bass. I bought this bass about a year ago as i've always really liked the shape and look of the thunderbird bass. However I found i never really used it as i always seem to use my warwick which I've owned and used for years - so this bass has just sat in it's box not being used so needs to go. The bass has had it's pickups replaced with 2 passive EMG select pickups. With two volume pots and a tone pot you can dial in a good range of sounds with this set up. It comes with a dimarzio locking strap. I moved the upper strap screw from the upper horn to behind the neck joint. This means the bass does not suffer from neck dive anymore but has left a small hole on the upper horn where the strap screw was. (i've tried to show this in the picture) Cosmetically the bass is is excellent condition. There is just one very small scuff on the lower corner - which can't be seen when played. (again i've tried to picture this) otherwise it is completely mint. The bass will come with the hard case pictured (i don't have keys for the lock). I'm after £150 for it - no trades thanks - i need the cash. I am based in Bath and would advise collection due to size and weight but will have a go at posting at the buyers expense if required. any questions - please ask
  5. Friday morning bump - not looking for any trades - need the cash. Thanks for the interest!
  6. Up for sale is my trace elliot gp11 mk v head. I bought this head off a fellow band member who had "upgraded" to a hartke unit - and my love of all things trace elliot couldn't stand to see this one unused. When I bought it the bloke said the eq wasn't working - so i took it straight round my amp tech Jesse James at soundburn audio who gave it a good going over. He couldn't find any faults with the eq or the amp after several tests other than the two push buttons for the graphic equaliser and the mid cut pre shaping seem to be stuck in the "in" position - however the graphic can be set to flat level to counter this. Other than this minor issue the amp was given a clean bill of health and a famous gold sticker on the back as proof (see photo). I have only used this amp a few times for practice and one gig (you can see it glowing under my left hand in the photo!). I am only selling as i already have a MK 2 Trace elliot AH250 that i use all the time! Even though i do think the tone is slightly better on the MK5 I am a soppy sod and have too much sentimental attachment to my MK2 which i have had for years - I don't need two AH250's and need some cash so the MK 5 has to go. Spec wise it is 250 watts output, has 1 jack and 1 xlr output (4 ohms minimum), It has the legendary GP11 preamp (before trace was bought by gibson blah blah) all slider caps present and correct!, two inputs, DI output for PA and high and low signal outputs. The UV tube is working which gives the amp that lovely glow when on stage! It has all the rubber feet present on both sides and is missing one metal corner protector. It is a great Amp that has no trouble cutting through the mix - I only ran it at output 3 out if 10 with my 2X15 cab for the gig pictured and was easily loud enough - i have never needed to run either of my trace elliots anywhere near above halfway! I have seen a couple of these go on this forum and eBay for around £300 but will ask for £275 due to two the push buttons not functioning (Jesse said it could be fixed quite easily but no need). I am based in Bath but could meet in Bristol or am willing to do a bit of driving (within reason) for diesel money if arranged beforehand. Any questions please get in touch - thanks
  7. Arggh! bought a set of rotosound jazz flats off spinynorman on this forum but failed to notice that they were medium scale - despite him putting it in the title AND the description - yep I am that dumb! It's a massive shame as they feel soooooo nice but are predictably too short for my long scale bass. I will use his description as he appears more knowledgeable than myself I have a set of Rotosound Jazz Flats in medium scale, standard gauge, light blue silks. They have actually been on a bass for only a few hours and barely played, not because there's anything wrong with them, just I realised the strings I'd taken off were TIs and it seemed a shame to waste them. There's just a tiny bit of fraying right at the ends where they were cut and wound on the post. In original packaging. These are currently for sale at Stringbusters for £22.50 + postage, so I'll post these within the UK for £10. (what i bought them for) Winding length (ball-end to start of tuner-end silk) is 90cm on the G. I've measured the full length, ball-end to where they were cut, so you can see what total length you have on each string, plus the weight, listed below. G 105cm 40 D 109cm 50 A 108cm 75 E 106cm 90 EDIT or would trade for a set of good condition, good brand long or extra long scale flats.
  8. Would you be interested in a cash sale of the guild? if so how much? thanks
  9. Absolutely top bloke! Total man of his word - so honest he actually describes things worse than they really are! Cannot recommend enough Matt
