Mmm... that's like saying "I've got a nasty toothache so I'm liking the handfulls of co-codamol idea". I would fix the actual problem. You'll not be happy when the jack gives up altogether in the middle of a gig!
i will replace it at some point, i just need a temporary fix until i have a bit more time on my hands
On my Warwick the input jack is a bit loose. A problem that seems to crop up a fair bit with warwicks apparently.
Anyway, does anyone know if theres are cables out there that lock into the jack (if you get me) or what type of jack i should replace it with, the ones on Conklins look pretty beasty
Are the necks of these things normally wenge? I had one and always thiught it was wenge neck and fretboard.
They are on the older models. I think they started putting Ovangkol on models after 1999, not 100% on the date though
Agreed to meet around half way, on time, talked it all through
really nice guy, gave me some good advice and had a chat through some bass stuff
once again, a credit to the forum. Happy to deal with him
just having a blast through some streetlight manifesto cd's
he just does some manic basslines and really isnt afraid of going up the old dusty end
any opinions? my fav bass track has to be everything went numb as its a great song as well, walking away a close second for obvious reasons
That was one of those Warwick Vampyre basses
think its an ESP. Looks like a Tom Araya sig but not too sure. He's got quite a similar sound to the bassist from As Blood Runs Black, but a lot fatter
Less Than Jake are ska, and busy bouncy basslines are fairly common.
yeh i thought about the ska part when i first posted, but a lot of the earlier stuff is fairly punky as well.
It plays even nicer than it looks!
your not making this any easier! its my birthday within the next like 20 days and then pay day straight after so a first payment could be had
IS NO ONE INTERESTED IN THIS BEAUTY??
hell yes, iv wanted a warwick for ages but i have literally no money unless you fancy a monthly payment scheme
I prefer Jean doing his solo thing. (And NO that does NOT include that super Mario theme vid)
I'm glad you said that! I love the solo works but Nuclear Rabbit is just better imo. i love his pac man bass though
Jean Baudin is the player who got me into two handed tapping. Most people don't know about him and just think of Wooten when you talk about tapping on the bass so I dutifully direct them to some of Jean's youtube videos! Love Nuclear Rabbit, nice and mad just the way I like it!
I knew there'd be someone glad to see im not the only fan
