1. A brace of Buzzards, not twins but deffo blood related! By the daddy of Buzzard manufacturers - Status. The B1 is one of John's as you probably know, the B2 I acquired yesterday from a great guy called Ian - ex bassist in The Whodlums. It is less than 3 years old, mint and fully flightcased. The spec: Ash on Alder with black sunburst; side L.E.D's - Red; Gotoh tuners; D-tuner; chrome hardware. Plays fantastic with a nice low action - can't wait to christen it! The wood chosen by Rob Green is also amazing - sets the bass apart for me. Some pics:
2. Got my two dream basses... a brace of Buzzards - by the daddy of Buzzard manufacturers, Status. 3. To be able to listen and to know when to hold back and let rip. As I play in a 3 piece I hold the bass down but also do a lot of the rhythm guitar work to fill the sound out.
4. Peter was great to deal with. Good item and very quick delivery. Cheers Peter!
5. Hey Oliver. Good luck with the sale. The price works out at approx. £1,432.94 - absolute bargain!
6. Could you get away with just dropping the 'E' string to 'D'? If so, a good solution would be fitting a Hipshot detuner to your 'E'...... flick of a switch 'E' or 'D'.
7. Hangin On The Telephone - great riff and loads of energy!
8. Thank you for taking the time to answer so thoroughly! Regards, Gareth.
9. I have an Ashdown Mag 300 with two speaker outputs on the rear stating '4 ohm Max. Impedance'. I want to connect to it a Hartke 4x10 (400W at 8 ohms) and a Hartke 1x15 (150W at 8 ohms) thereby giving 4 ohms. So, if I have this right, that gives me 550W speaker wise and the amp will split 300W equally between the two cabs when in parallel... and as I'll never have to max the amp out I should have enough headroom in each cab. Does this sound OK? Cheers.....
10.
How good is the compressor? I know that's an idiots question but basically I do ALOT of slap n tap in my band, and need something to even my sound out. I use a Markbass 4x10 with a matching head, just wanted an honest answer really
I have had no problems with it, the only other compressor I used was on my TE combo so perhaps I haven't exhausted my search so to speak but it does the job. It also has two channels and tubes so you can add a touch of warmth to the sound.... plus I think it just looks fab!
11.
How much for all three? I might be missing something.......
Well the Quad 4 has gone.... but the tuner/comp/case would be £130 delivered.....
12.
Am i being silly, or does it say 201 not 501 on the front? Bump
You're right! My mistake....doesn't really alter anything. thanks for the head's up!
