1. So this is how it feels when you finally get the best rig you can that suits your needs/sound? A slight come down after the high; a realisation that trawling thru the 'for sale' sections means nothing anymore; hours given back to you that you can spend doing something else instead of constantly being on Basschat attempting to get to the bargains first - yet somehow feeling that it's a waste of time. Anyone else get 'the shakes'?
 2.
Wow! A real treat! - Always wanted to try one of these on bass but never had the chance. I understand you can mix both SS and Valve preamps together. Have you tried this and were you able to maintain bass bottom end when using distortion patches?
Never knowingly mixed the two, I pretty much used Factory settings - there are a 100 on there ( I think), so a good sound wasn't hard to find! Each patch can be eq'd, so I never had any problem with getting bass....

 4.
Yes, it'll be fine. Use the specially wired speakon for the 2x10" so it sends the full-range signal (which you can roll the highs off on with the treble cut switch on the amp) to the 10"s and the high frequency signal to the tweeter. Then either run a normal speakon from the amp to the 15" or daisy chain the normal speakon from the 2x10" to the 1x15". That'll give you a rig with up to 700W into 4 ohms split between the 2x10" and 1x15" and 50W into 8 ohms into the 210's tweeter. If the 1x15" has a tweeter then I'd turn it down.
Cheers.... now I just have to find a MBE 400W/8ohms GK cab!
 5.
Excuse my complete ignorance but is this a guitar or bass unit?
Sorry, should have stated... it can be used with either instrument.
 6. Just acquired a 1001RBII and an RBX210 and I want to add a 115 to it. Question is: If I run the 210 in the GK biamp mode, is it safe to run the 115 full range? It doesn't say either way in the manual... Any help appreciated! Cheers.
 7. Simplifying my gear (my back told me in no uncertain terms to do it!), so this is surplus to requirements. 2U rack mountable Digitech Artist 2120, Control One Pedalboard, Midi and pedal connector leads, mains lead with transformer and instructions up for sale. I purchased this a couple of years ago and had it imported from the States and it has served me well. These regularly sell ont 'bay for between £300 and £350 but I'm asking for just £150 inc PnP for all of the above due to a few issues, which are described in full below: The LCD screen on the 2120 is missing parts of some characters in the display - the unit is still totally usable and programmable. It is a minor annoyance rather than a hinderance if that makes sense. The Control One Pedalboard has had a couple of the switches knocked off. I still have them and all I do is latch them back on before a gig and the board works perfectly; after the gig, take 'em off and store 'em safely in me bag. So there you have it in a nutshell! Links to more info/review about the unit: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec98/arti...ech2120.186.htm http://www.rockdiscography.com/picsmu/rig/...tech_2120sm.gif Thanks for looking!
 8. Sold and going to a very good home!
 9. Pretty obvious really I suppose, but just wear what you are comfortable in - nothing worse than standing in front of people feeling self concious and having to entertain them.... I should know as I have had to wear red spandex in a 'previous life'! My current bands just wear anything really. The Who tribute - pop art type stuff or clothes that reflect The Who but that is a pretty broad spectrum and the other band whatever we roll up in.
 10. Cieran bought a Zoom B1X off me.... Great comms+quick payment=pleasure to do business with. Cheers!
 11. A few enquiries but no sale.... as yet! Offers welcome, worst I can say is 'no'!

 15.
That plus your buzzard! Thats some trouser flapping bass tone! Best of luck man!
Thanks Stuart, the 2x15 with the subharmonic running as well will sound immense. Couple that with the high side running thru the 2120 and into the Epifani and it should sound bloody awesome!
 16.
No way i could afford it but any sound clips?! Best of luck with the sale Great price and Gareth is a top class man!
Cheers! Whoever buys this bass will be spoilt for life!!!!
 17.
What cabs are you sporting now Gareth? You should do some videos with your full entwistle gear, must sound amazing!
An Epfiani 2x10 and hopefully a 2x15 Hartke coupled with my RPM1 (thanks!) and an APM1000.... can't wait to get it all together!!!
 18. Got my dream rig now, so as I don't need two - the auld'n is up for grabs. Comprises of an Ashdown MAG300R, which gives 307 watts at 4 ohm coupled with 1x15 and 4x10 (castors fitted for easy movement) Hartke cabs. Both cabs are 8 ohm, so the full 307W can be utilised or, for smaller gigs, either cab can be used on it's own for about 180W (I think). This has been a great little rig for the past few years for me and as such the cabs are a little battle scarred, but nothing outrageous and the amp is in VGC as it is rack housed. The amp doesn't come with the rack bag as I need it for my effects unit. Due to size etc... item is pick up only from Manchester, but am willing to meet within reason for a bit of petrol money. I'm looking for around the £270 mark for the full rig - don't want to split the items. Any questions or want to make an offer? Please feel free to ask. Cheers!
