  1. Spellbound - Siouxsie and the Banshees
  2. I made my own playlist to avoid the obvious ones... Some are quite well known like Christmas Rapping, others are classics any time of year, like this:
  3. You'd hear some decent reggae at our shop too! Been enjoying this album today
  4. In our shop I made the playlist - we're currently at 1600 songs (my Mrs took some off!). And now playing is Requiem off the Killing Joke in Dub album, next up is Brother Jack by Jack McDuff... Eclectic and no Wetwetwet...
  5. pump me up! - Trouble Funk
  6. Funnily enough, that's how Franz Liszt became (arguably!) the first rock star! And what about Ravel's left handed piano concerto? Folks have always liked spectacle, which is what Mr Berthoud is providing. And as for his music, I find that far more entertaining than the usual average stuff (me included!) I see at most gigs! Though I rarely sided with those who thought Mozart's music had "too many notes"...
  7. If I Biarritz man - Topol (Fiddler on the Roof)
  8. I remember seeing Mudhoney supported by Hole in 1991... Hole were just appallingly dreadful, it was like they just couldn't play or perhaps had never played together and thought that folks might think they were deep'n'meaningful noiseniks like Sonic Youth. I also found Ms. Love to be annoying and rather too MeMeME!!! but they most certainly fooled this Melody Maker reviewer! Mudhoney were quite a lot better...
  9. Insane in the Brain - Prince Fatty
  10. Kill the Poor - Dead Kennedys
  11. Maxwell Murder - Rancid
  12. Pack Jam - Jonzun Crew
  13. This is the sort of bass I was listening to in 1992 - Animal Behaviour (the following track) also pretty awesome - Bootsy Baby! More Bootsy: And more jazzy And some kids...
  14. Tramp - Otis Redding & Carla Thomas
  15. Crazy jazz featuring Nate Wood on bass and drums AT THE SAME TIME!
  16. Let's Start The Dance - Hamilton Bohannon
  17. Shine - 0 - Mite - Bootsy's Rubber Band
  18. Shiny shiny - Haysi Fantayzi
  19. Shaved Women - Crass
  20. Running from Paradise - Hall and Oates (featuring slap bass!)
  21. Back in the day we learnt that if the grass was strong enough you didn't care if it rained or not. This is perhaps why we stopped imbibing before gigs!
  22. Who needs a bass guitar when you can do serious sequenced stuff - this used to get us out on the dancefloor back in '82. Even saw him "live" at the Warehouse in Leeds in '83 - very funny guy as well (RIP)
  23. Gammon Everybody - Sid Vichysoise
  24. We're originals too, so anywhere between 25 minutes and an hour depending on where we are on the bill and how many bands are playing.
