  1. You just use left and right outputs as separate feeds - one for the PA (left), one for monitors (right). The Pan control on each channel acts to control how much of each signal goes to left and right - so a channel panned centre goes to both PA and Monitors, panned full left PA only, panned full right Monitors only...
  2. When you say “monitor mix” do you want to create a separate mix for monitoring, different from the main mix? If so you can do that as long as you don’t mind your main mix being in mono.
  3. Soundcraft Signature 10 mixer for sale, excellent condition, all features and signal paths working Until recently my recording interface with my PC - via the USB connection which gives 2-Track capability. 4. Thinking that I may as well be hung for a sheep (ie a seriously expensive bass) as for a lamb (Rich's excellent EBS Session 60), I have just blown the year's budget on this very beautiful Duesenberg Motown Bass Almost too beautiful to play, but not quite...
  5. Just bought a Dusenberg bass off Mark. Lovely bloke to deal with, always prompt with communication and highly recommended. The Dusenberg is top quality and Mark took a lot of trouble to make sure that it arrived unscathed via Parcelforce.
  6. Purchased a year ago to join my other 'headless' basses, but not getting played enough, so moving it on. A bass with an 80's vintage feel to it, lightweight (about 3kg), small (obviously) but despite being 24 fret, having a large enough contoured basswood body to sit comfortably whilst being played. A very solid sound through two humbuckers and the usual Ibanez blend control. Other controls are volume and tone. 34" scale, rosewood fretboard, maple neck. Currently fitted with roundwound strings, but you can alter the strings to whatever type you want since the top of the neck secures them with allen screws, so no need for double ball-end types. It's had plenty of playing in its life and the body has quite a few dings and scratches and one chip in the paintwork - please see the photos . Comes with a strap and a good quality Rockbag soft case. Pickup from Uxbridge area, or I will courier at cost.
  7. "turn up on time, smile at everyone, and play the right notes" - Excellent advice for any musician, but especially a bass player. For those of us who are less musically gifted, achieving 1 & 2 whilst playing a few bum notes (although preferably in the same key as the rest of the band) seems to be sufficient.
  8. As circumstantial evidence, please see exhibit A m'lud:
  9. My neat, little, but chunky, BH250 for sale, excellent cosmetic condition, all working perfectly. A solid state amp that has mostly lived indoors and been well looked after. The built-in tuner is useful and the TonePrint feature enables you to download and check out a whole host of effects. Comes with a mains lead. Postage at cost if you want me to mail it to you.
  10. A Very Happy Easter to all too. We finished with Phil Wickham's 'Living Hope' - a bit of an earworm of a chorus to send everyone out
  11. It is Lemmy's own bass (allegedly, but why not?) the outline is slightly obscured by the strap hanging over it. I'm not a Rick afficionado, but I guess it was customised to what he wanted (three humbuckers, gold fittings), as opposed to the signature model which is, as you rightly point out, more decorative, but a distinctly different instrument. As I was trying to find out where the bass came from I discovered that if you want a 'knock-off' Lemmy bass from Ali Express it will set you back a grand total of £413. Fine if you only want to hang it on the wall I suppose.
  12. Maybe a little known fact, but the Marshall factory (Milton Keynes, Bucks) has a small 'museum' of amps, guitars etc in and around reception. Although it is primarily for the guitar nerds, in amongst the Les Pauls and Bluesman amps are a few pieces of Bass memorabilia, with pride of place going to the irredeemably individual Lemmy.
  13. I've been trying to avoid watching the news recently, but I think I may have seen your talking donkey?
  14. If it did, I missed it; possibly my error. just got a message saying I should have ‘opted out’ when I listed - which is no longer possible.
  15. I just got caught out by the ‘Simple Shipping’ - featuring a mandatory charge for ‘insurance’ taken from my account and also mandatory shipping cost deduction. Problem being that the EBay postage details were wrong so I not only had to pay for shipping I couldn’t use, but purchase another label for the correct weight and size. Not happy 😡
  16. Agreed. I was probably being a little too oblique when I said “sonically interesting“ 🤔
  17. You may have already discovered that you will get twice the power going into the 4 ohm cab as you get going into the 8 ohm cab. Sonically quite interesting since it’s the 15” speakers that will be working hardest.
  18. Oh yes. Good point, I didn't see that. My, but its going to be a very 'live' band area with all that brickwork and the hard floor - or are you going to be allowed some furnishing?
  19. Looks great but is that an odd perspective, or are the ceiling speakers set behind the lectern/podium?
  20. I used an Elf for a while, DI output didn’t affect speaker output at all,
  21. All above is good advice (balanced dynamic mics are fine with phantom power) You asked about plugging dynamic mics into the jack sockets? On your mixer those are line level inputs so there wouldn’t be enough gain for a mic.
  22. Whilst not wishing to put temptation in the path of a fellow musician (but immediately doing so…) I have a nice Sansamp for sale Just call me Wormtongue 🙀
  23. Strictly for plectrum players who wish to solo but can’t stoop to a “guitar” in my opinion. Of course I may be biased…
  24. Can I assume that you are mixing in mono? If so, and you are feeling creative (you may not be!) you do have the option of running the active full-range speakers from the two left outputs and the bins from the two right outputs (just a jack-XLR adaptor or similar cable required) That way by shifting the pan control left or right you can alter the amount of any channel that is running to either set of speakers. Full left = Titans only, Full right = Peavey bass bins only, central = 50/50 split It would enable you to run the bass-heavy channels more into the bass bins and vocals (for instance) only into the full range Titans. Not a perfect solution at all, but would cost less than a tenner to try out...
  25. As stated earlier, whatever you do don't use standard, solid core cat 5/6 cable - whichis meant to be fixed in place and not move. What you need is stranded core cable with a strong outer like this stuff - BELDEN 1303EPU CAT 6A DATA CABLE Stranded conductor - Deployable Neutrik also do a nice range of XLR-like plugs and sockets for cat5/6 cables, so you can run the van over them and still do the gig.
