100% correct, I own a whole house and it's smaller than that room Still I think cases do need a rethink, they look nice but what are they for?
Thanks for the room compliment. It is a nice room - converted loft in a London house. And the rest of that house is swamped in family cr@p! I only posted for a laugh. To raise a chuckle. An antidote to the "Wals you can't afford" thread if you like. But I take your point. The Hiscox's get used a lot, and they're the only ones I trust. The rest are just there to protect the instruments in the house - from kids, dog, falling objects etc.
I don't want to worry you, but I think one of those cases is for a saxamophone
Yes…my baritone. Schweeet isn't it

Cases! Wa-hey! Hiscox, Berkeley, Fender, Stagg, SKB, Miscellaneous and Hobbycraft...

It's still for sale under a new listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wal-MkII-Custom-Series-5-String-Bass-/152008384348?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276 There's something really dodgy about the bidding pattern on this. I don't know the story but my alarm has been rung. Be careful...
Lovely basses. What sort of tones does the bridge pickup produce on the Elite? I've always been curious but have never tried one with that pickup arrangement.
Thank you! The Elite bridge pick up on its own is super bright and trebly. Way too much and totally useless in the realm of P bass tone. However a little bit of it blended with the neck pick up gives the bass a sheen and presence and really compliments the classic tones available from the neck pickup. It adds brightness, but in a different way to the tone pot.
Such a lovely Rob Allen.
It is. And has a tone that matches I have a lot of basses and play different styles of music. This is the one bass to rule them all.

I bought Steve's Alembic Rogue. He's a fantastic guy to deal with. Gave very specific photos and details as requested. His packaging was excellent too! An absolute credit to Basschat. Derrick

I'm moving on an unused rack case. It's branded Gear4Music, is a shallow 2u case in nearly new condition. £35 posted! Here's the product page with dimensions etc: http://www.gear4musi...fect-Finish/PCT And a few pics... Try Feline Guitars in Croydon. They've always done good work for me. http://www.felineguitars.com

I did it the other way at first. Rough hook on pedalboard. It would trap every piece of fluff, hair and dirt rolling around the floor. Nasty. I've now got furry loop on the pedalboard and it's much cleaner. You can hoover it successfully too. I'm like that.
The usual suspects: Sennheiser MD421 Electrovoice RE20 Shure SM7B Heil PR40 None are cheap though!
This. All of these are excellent mics and not just for bass. I have them all! The Heil is my favourite for bass. It's also the cheapest of the four.

I've had both though not at the same time. I had the 24v first. I can't say I really noticed a difference with the 9v. Smaller, lighter and can run of a power brick. Possibly slightly quieter than the 24v. Maybe I'd notice a difference in tone with then side by side. But the 9v is a good pedal and can stand up on its own.
