  1. Now sold and on its way to Glasgow. Thanks everyone for your interest, lovely comments and arguments about the colour 😁
  2. I can see what you mean in the pics, but there is no discolouration. That's the lighting. It really doesn't do the colour justice. It's a hard colour to capture!
  3. Thanks. When I bought it it was described as Sonic Blue. And it's definitely blue in the flesh!
  4. This is the 1966 reissue that Fender Japan manufactured for a limited time between 2010 and 2011. It’s in excellent all round condition with only a few scuffs and dings around the body (please see pictures). It has an alder body, maple neck, bound rosewood fretboard with blocks, in Vintage White with matching headstock. The frets are in great shape with no discernible wear. It was originally made for the Japanese market and as such was a non-export model. I bought it used from Ishibashi in 2011 and imported it myself. The original Japanese pickups and electrics have been replaced with Nordstrand NJ4 - 60s wind, CTS pots, period correct capacitor, wiring and Switchcraft jack. The work was done by Feline Guitars in Croydon, who also did a fret dress at the same time. The original pickups and electronics will be included, but the Nordstrands are much better. The bass weighs 10lbs and is nicely balanced. It comes in an SKB ABS case, which is relatively unused, but does have a couple of feet missing so it doesn’t stand up well. Thanks for looking. Any questions please ask.
  5. This is a lovely example of a Fender Japan Precision. It’s the 70s reissue model dating from 2004-05. Alder body, Maple neck and dark rosewood fretboard. I’ve seen the colour described as Sonic Blue, Daphne Blue and Seafoam Green - it’s definitely blue! This is a non-export model for the domestic Japanese market. It has a Seymour Duncan SPB1 pickup installed which came with the bass. I don’t have the original pickup unfortunately. It’s in great overall condition apart from some belt buckle marks on the tummy cut. I’ve tried to photograph these - none of them go through the finish. The frets are in excellent condition - I had the frets looked at by Feline Guitars in Croydon who levelled and polished them. The bass comes in a tweed Warwick Rockcase. Thanks for looking. Any questions please ask!
  6. Both monitors in very good condition, and in the limited edition white finish. No box, so collection or local delivery only.
  7. Used with signs of wear to the foam support points. But useable. It can be disassembled so posting is possible, but that will add £10 to the sale price.
  8. The Bergantino HT115 rarely comes up for sale. This one is in excellent condition, and hardly used. 400w, 8 ohms with Bergantino padded cover. Shown with Bergantino 2x10 for size comparison. Collection only or local delivery I’m afraid as I have no shipping box. Price dropped to £375. Specs... -15" cast frame woofer w/ 96oz. magnet, vented pole piece and 3" voice coil -high intelligibility tweeter with cast horn -power handling - 400 watts rms -custom phase - coherent crossover with tweeter level control -frequency response: 40hz - 18khz -sensitivity: 99db • anechoic: 2.83v/1m -impedance: 8 ohms -dimensions: 18"H x 22-3/4"W x 18"D -weight: 59lbs

  10. Hi BC Gang, For her 16th birthday my daughter wants a five string bass (what teenage girl doesn't?). She's quite a small girl at 4' 11'' and has quite small hands. I'm wondering if there's a five string out there that will suit her - something with a smallish body, narrow neck width and 32-34" scale length? She current plays on a four sting, medium scale (32") Yamaha BBIVs which she is very comfortable on. But being heavily into metal she's really hankering after a five string! Any recommendations? I have an open mind on budget - but looking at £250-1000 and preferably used. Thanks in advance.
  11. Thanks Duckman! It is a fantastic instrument, and incredibly versatile. If it doesn't sell before the point where I don't need the money anymore, I wouldn't be upset about keeping it in the herd!
  12. Pickup selector switches, in series or parallel depending on combination. The attached pdf explains all. 25th_bass_controls_hss.pdf
  13. Thanks BC! Hmmm...trades. I'm after a sale ideally. But I might be tempted by the right Dingwall 5/6 string.
  14. A beautiful example of the 25th Anniversary Ernie Ball Musicman 5 string - ash body with mahogany tone block, flame maple top in red burst with matching headstock. A fantastic array of tones available from the switchable pickup configuration and 4 band preamp. Can be used in passive mode too. It’s in excellent condition with only some faint scuffs around the belt buckle area on the rear of the bass. These are only noticeable when you’re looking for them and are very difficult to photograph! Maple neck with satin finish, and frets are in excellent shape. It comes with it’s Musicman 25th Anniversary case. At 11lbs/ 4.9kg it’s not a super light bass, but is perfectly balanced. 34” scale length. Can courier at cost. More pics on request. Any questions please ask!
  15. Wow this is a bargain. I have the MK Jazz model and it's a keeper! Otherwise this would be mine already!😁
  16. Prismsound Orpheus firewire (and thunderbolt) audio interface. A brilliant, spectacular sounding audio interface for recording and mastering, and has been my absolute favourite thing for the past number of years. In excellent condition, boxed with manual and all accessories. While it is a Firewire 400 device it works with Thunderbolt 1, 2, 3 and Firewire 800 with the the right firewire to thunderbolt adaptor with no issues. Adaptors to Thunderbolt 2 can be included if required. Fully compatible with OSX Catalina and Windows. £1150 including shipping.
  17. I'm reporting this post for pornographic content. Your first Jazz is lusty!
  18. Yes they do. It’s a chunky slab of ash!
  19. Aria Pro II SB1000 for sale. 1983, oak finish and in nice condition. When I bought this bass a few years ago it’s preamp and wiring loom had been stripped out. I bought a replacement preamp from Carl Maltby, and a Rautia replica pickup. (The bass has its original pickup but has never been tested. As I was about to spend a load restoring the bass I just didn’t want to take a chance on it). The preamp, Rautia pickup and new wiring was installed by Feline Guitars (Croydon) with guidance from Carl Maltby. Feline Guitars also polished and levelled the frets - and it all turned out very well. Everything else on the bass is original and as you’d expect. The original pickup will be included in the sale. It comes in a Warwick Rockbass gigbag. Collection preferred. Selling as I need to cull the herd and I can’t find playing opportunities for two SBs!
