skidder652003 mentioned Enfield & Painy the Aguilar AG700...not sure where you live (Im in Northampton) I have a Enfield Canon for sale which is very versatile....which you can try with (not for sale) AG700 & Aguilar 112 also a small FOH PA & Schertler combo I use for small gigs..if that helps...good luck

It is designed to be as compact as poss and easy both sitting or standing. Standing you need to lightly support the neck, which upto 6th fret is fine but the width for me up to 12th was slightly uncomfortable, I have small hands..was a great bass well built and stable ...B -

The sound.....Mine is fitted with bronze round wound, which gives a deep & rich sound(piano like), which is perfect for what I’m doing in the duo. It also has the longest sustain I have ever experienced….because its a shorter scale, this is achieved by anchoring the strings over the bridge, thro the body to a solid brass plate at the back of the guitar…extending the strings by 5 inches.
