will pots/knobs and wiring be included with the pups?
Hi There, The Knobs are being re-used the pots, socket and wiring should be a vailable in some form, whatever it is i will include with the pickups. For info there are a number of offers on both of these items both separatley and together, but i want to have them in my posession before i commit to sale, just so i can inspect for any damage that may have occured, as the donor precision has been at the luthiers for most of this year. regards Keith M

And also a set of Fender P bass pick-ups form the same original bass. I used the original bass as a donor in a custom build at a luthiers for my birthday and it will be ready mid july. I would like £160 for the neck and £40 for the pick-ups not inc postage. I have attached a picture of the bass so you can see the actual parts. 14. been through the same... yes change the pots to CTS and i went for Lindy Fralins.... more thump with litttle loss of clarity.. but that is using others experience as it would cost too much to buy them all and AB them. You pays you money, you take your choice good luck
I've been gassing for a P for some time now, and have decided to put one together myself. I've acquired a Squier VM body, and a Mighty Mite neck, and was wondering what type of pups would be best to get that classic thunderous "thump" of a P. I am considering the Seymour Duncan 1/4 Pounders and Wizard Thumpers. And how much difference do the pots make? Any advice would be very welcome.
16.
I think the worlds gone mad .. this is one of the greatest rigs .. that will happily live on any stage in the world .. its ungigged in awesome condition and at a 3rd of the retail price ! .. doubt they'll ever be a better deal. I know fashion has currently got everyone skipping around with class D in there handbags .. but seriously .. someone surely wants a proper bass rig of this quality .. especially at this price and condition ? bump .. one mo' time for Elvis
Hi there, noticed these have been up for a while together and separatley. I dont know anything about them but it looks really nice stuff saw JPJ playing a precision through a similar set up on Jools Holland with SSS. Is this just a cash sale now or can you remind us of any particular trades you will consider regards Keith M
 17. that might be the one i bought from Muzz last year, its now Candy Apple red with a new custom neck,,,, always had the making of a great bass,,, the colour Blizzard Pearl, its a Marmite thing
RayFW had a blizzard pearl USA Precision, here in Manchester. 18. +1 s**te showing off rubbish. Take a look( Google) our own BC`er Andy Saxton for a truly gifted bass player a joy to behold
No melody, no groove and I agree about the hideous metallic clattering noise. Truly awful. If I had to work next door to the stand he was working on I would be serving a stretch for assault with a deadly weapon - I would that bass right up his ass. Sideways.
20. Guys, I have had my DR Bass 212 neo 4 ohm for nearly a year which i bought off a fellow BC`er on this forum. In that time it has been gigged a fair few times and seen one bass head change... SO why when i read the BC for sales, am i not GASSING for Aguliar, Bergatino, Schroeder etc that come up for sale ?? For info these are US built cabs and are i believe distributed by RIM basses. SO SO Strange regards Keith

 23. Hi Guys, just for info , I went to the Keswick beer festival in the Lake District last week on friday 3rd June, and saw two really good covers bands 1. "The Moobs" really nice sounding bass player ...Jetglow Ricky played with a pick through Ampeg backline. Nice and tight with the drummer playing Foo fighters, Killers , Jam... just a tad too low in the mix, but thats the soundmans job.. who was i but a drunken punter to tell him to turn the bass player up a bit ?? 2. "Earth Wind For Hire" , again great fingerstyle bass player using what looked like a 5 string EBMM stingray, didnt catch the backline so could have been DI`d. Great disco bass tone covering some Chic, Bernard Edwards etc. If you were one of these players and member of the Basschat bretheren .. well done. I couldnt get tickets for saturday 4th so can`t comment of the bands for that night.. anybody else get there ?? For all others its a really great yearly festival of good beer, set against a stunning backdrop which i can highly recommend ... that was my 3rd year there. regards Keith M

 25.
That's an odd fault. Did you get the original cable tested by an electrician who could do an earth test on it. Let us know outcome. I was going to suggest you take your bass to the nearest bass shop and try with their amps. I think Glasgow would be a bit too far to try my amp. Cheers Dave
Hi Dave, being a typical electrician ( in a previous life), and after the frustration it has caused, i binned it and the 4 gang it was plugged into. I really couldnt be bothered getting the continuity tester out only to find that after moving it i had disturbed it back into operation and it becoming an intermittent fault would only confuse the issue... Thats my excuse anyway ..Wrong i know, but sometimes its just easier not to get bogged down. Dont know if i am out of the trees yet but I will monitor it. Mike is loaning me his Amp if the fault returns so i can discount these cabling variables. Funnily enough I am up in Glasgow Thursday friday this week as my work takes me there once a month.. Staying in the Glasgow Thistle thursday night.. usually go to Lauders at the bottom of Suchehall Street for a pint, and see who is on at King Tuts regards Keith M
