1. My Blueberry Bass Overdrive. Looking for £50 delivered While mainly designed for bass guitar, the BBBO can also be used with other instruments for low, dynamically controlled distortion. Controls VOLUME: controls output DRIVE: sets the amount of distortion and sustain, as well as the type of distortion. Lower settings give dynamically controlled overdrive, the unit distorts more the harder you strike the strings and there is no definite clipping point, but rather different shades of distortion as the amplitude changes. Higher settings will give more compressed sounds. A good starting point with most basses is fully CCW, turn the knob until you find the overdrive level that suits your playing. Lower settings are good for old school tube amplifier tone, while higher settings gives denser distortion. NATURE: is a tonecontrol for filtering and to control what register distorts. Turning CCW gives more lowend and also distortion in the lower registers. Turning CW gives an emphasis in the upper midrange for more protruding solo bass tone. Electrical specification: • Input impedance approximately 500K Ohms • Recommended load 50K Ohms • Current consumption at 9V approximately 4 mA • Max gain at 1KHz approximately 50 dB • Supply voltage range 8-12V’s • True bypass POWER REQUIREMENTS: 6F22 9V battery or DC eliminator 2.1 mm plug
2. Ordered one yesterday. Due to be completed and shipped on the 11th. I'll post some thoughts when it arrives but so far I'm very impressed by the customer service.
3. Looks like they've remedied this http://www.triton-lab.com
4. +1 on all of the above. These are stunning things of beauty and loud to boot
5. The volume control isn't an issue..... you can set this is in the settings menu........ a lot of the updates Markbass are trumpeting on their site are firmware updates so i'd be intrigued to see why they have discontinued previous models (however their site is notoriously bad) - the front end looks identical to me apart from the change of headphone volume knob to control Volume.......... I also think the Multi-amp is an incredible piece of kit despite all of their marketing eccentricities. It really is a true all in one solution.
6. Bought a Blueberry bass overdrive from Alex...... great communication and quick delivery....... highly recommended
7. Bought a jazz from Mike..... great communication and well packaged..... and the bass is fantastic
8. Thanks...... It's a top transparent pedal, small footprint and able to power off a 9v. I'm also considering trades and part exchanges.
9. i'm not getting a cut but a slight dip in volume for a split second when the pedal is engaged.
10. Received mine today I part exchanged my Cali 76 transformer version earlier this year. I was an earlier adopter but I never really got in with it frequently reaching for other compressors and even swapping out on a number of dates over the summer for my Compressore. Ultimately I think it came down to the amount of control that I had and the difficulty in continually dealing in settings on the fly in high pressure live settings yet it as great in the studio. This already feels completely different. The same high quality compression but super easy to dial in a variety of compression settings from percussive to Levin-esque squishy and the build quality is stunning . I'm continually astounded by the work of Origin Effects. What an incredible time it is to be a British bass player with companies such as Origin, Barefaced and Cog Effects (to name but a handful) on our door steps.
11. My compressor obsession continues My Keeley bassist Limiting amplifier for sale. Just a feeler as I think it's a keeper but the recent purchase of a Cali 76 CB means I should recoup some funds. If my Markbass Compressore I have on the boards is purchased by the weekend I may withdraw this promptly. Its a really small design and runs off a 9volt battery or supply. Absolutely transparent and great for limiting - the only plug and play compressor i've used that I can set and forget about. I can move it on for [s]£135 [/s]£125 delivered - boxed and as new condition with carry pouch as its only a couple of months old. 13. Not a problem at all You can change this in system settings so that volume stays the same when switching patches. The more time I spend with this amp the more I'm impressed with it as an all in one solution that's as Simple or complex as I want it to be.
14. Bought a Status graphite neck from Mikkel. good price and excellent communication. would deal again no problem.
