  1. Phil Jones Bighead Pro HA2 for sale. Bought from new from Bassdirect and had it about a year I think. Looking for £200 £180. I'm based in Cambridge. Here is some detail about the unit plus a photo or two and a link to a Youtube video. Mobile High Performance Multi-Function Headphone Amplifier/Digital Audio Interface The HA-2 is the second model in the Bighead series and is a step up model of the popular HA-1 Bighead with added technology and features. The HA-2 is a high resolution USB audio interface that supports PCM playback with up to 384 KHz sample rate/24 bit resolution. On DSD playback, sample rates of 2.822MHzand 5.644 MHz are supported, making it the ideal choice for musicians and engineers that desire high performance and the purest sound quality. It is a rechargeable lithium ion dynamo that is ideal for use in practice or recording situations. It also functions as a headphone booster amp as well as a preamp to drive powered amplifiers. The HA-2 has both passive and active instrument inputs with a 2 band EQ that is ideal for guitar and bass, yet versatile enough for use with other instruments. It has an internal lithium-ion rechargeable battery that is fed by its USB jack, so any computer or appropriate cell phone charger can charge it in less than 3 hours, but it can play for up to 8 hours. 4. @ukbassboy Hi, I'm planning on going to London tomorrow ... I could probably hold off for a little while longer but guess that might not help you much. Thanks for the comments about the bass - it looks even better in the flesh!
  5. I know what you mean but my circumstances have very recently changed. If things change again I will probably keep it!

  8. Hi, thanks for the info. I'm in Cambridge so bit of a trek to try the bass out I'm afraid.
  9. Any video of the bass that you are able to share? What scale is it please? Does it have a case? Many thanks.
  10. @joetruscott hi, if you could demo the bass back pup, neck pup, both pups and anything that shows the action on the neck that would be great.
  11. Wow that looks stunning. Do you happen to have any sound clips or video of this in action?
  12. @jimbobothy Hi, I've got the origin effects bass comp and thinking about getting the DCX bass pedal. I think that you have this combination. Wondered if you could offer a view about what the EQ is like please? Like you I wouldn't be using drive much at all as I much prefer a cleaner sound. Appreciate any views you are able to share and I realise that this is all highly subjective! Alan
  13. SOLD SUBJECT TO THE USUAL CAVEMAN AUDIO BP1-C COMPACT BASS PREAMP for sale. Priced for quick sale. Bank transfer. In really great condition boxed, instructions. Only 6 months old. Fantastic Pre Amp - Only selling as just about to spend a fortune on a bass cab! Postage included.
  14. Just bought a preamp from John. Communication was truly excellent. The unit expertly packaged and when there was a problem with a delay in delivery by the courier he went the extra mile to sort it out. Highly recommended.
  15. Hi, are you able to add a photo that includes a dated note with the Caveman please? Cheers.
  16. Just came across this... really interesting recordings. To my ears thought the Caveman really stood out. I don't know if it is something to do with the headphones I am using but the Caveman gave a really super solid bass - almost in a way like the thud you can get when you hear bass live in a bigger venue. It did seem to lose some clarity in the treble/upper mids but to my mind this was more than compensated for by its reproduction of bass!
  17. Have been interested in getting one of these for a while but still uncertain about what it can actually do when used straight in to amp! The controls are minimal and there doesn't seem to be any videos etc that really demonstrate its effect. You don't happen to have a recording you can share? Cheers.
  18. Hi, I wouldn’t use this for DI but to go straight to a compressor and amp… there doesn’t seem to be any way to alter eq on this pedal but very interested in what it does to you live sound using this pedal. Cheers. Alan
  19. Does the pre amp come with the original box and instructions? Thanks.
  20. Have you had the compressor from new and how old is it and is it the latest version? Many thanks.
  21. Hi, wondered if there is anyone out there who has tried the new Bergantino HP2X amp yet? I’d be especially interested in getting feedback / opinions about how it compares to the original HP. Thanks for looking.
  22. Hi, is it possible to let me know if you are able to get a very low action on your bass please? I'm in Cambridge ... where are located in Cambridgeshire? Many thanks.
  23. Just for information .... I'll be taking this to sell elsewhere on Tuesday! Cheers and thanks for looking.
