I'm planning on selling or trading my trusty Marshall Guv'nor pedal. It's the updated GV2 model like this: http://www.marshallamps.com/product....uctCode=Guvnor It's a very ampy type distortion pedal designed to be like adding an additional channel to your amp rather than a boosty tube screamery thing. It's pretty much mint and unmolested. Just changed my amp and I want something slightly different so ideally I would like to trade it for something interesting OD/Fuzz/Distortion flavoured (don't mind chucking in some cash as well) Also happy to sell for £30 quids posted.

The series is for the Easy Ear Training website which as the name suggests is primarily aimed at helping musicians do things like recognise scales and chords by ear, but also does features on the sounds and roles of instruments. The people I had in mind when writing it were: Non bass players who wanted to understand a bit more about what they are listening to (i.e. which one is the bass, is it fretless, acoustic, electric) and beginner bass players who wanted to know what all the knobs do and how to get a good sound. The first podcast and article is a bit of an anomaly as I didn't have an acoustic available so it is pretty much a straight read through with clips. The second part is based on the articles content but diverges and is done with a bass on my knee so I demonstrate everything live as I go. The next parts are going to be on: how playing technique influences tone, amp settings and effects and might have more stuff that interests you in them.

I'm currently writing an article series for easyeartraining.com on Bass Tone. http://www.easyeartraining.com/Series/bass-tone/ It's a beginner to intermediate focussed series which is about the different bass instruments, amps and effects and the sounds that you can get out of them. There are lots of sound clips and a podcast of each episode if you like that kind of thing. The first part was on the upright and this weeks is on the electric bass. I would be really interested to hear any feedback, or anything you would like to see in a future episode etc.
