  1. Loo looks like it, thanks for your help πŸ‘
  2. Ah good point. Yes, I don’t need a balance/blend. It is volume, bass, treble
  3. Anyone know if this is the preamp that is used on the German made VS4 or if not has anyone used these? https://www.thomann.de/gb/glockenklang_2band_electronic_stacked_reviews.htm Thinking about upgrading the preamp on my electra. The current one sounds great but I’d like the active/passive on the volume.

  5. Second this! He did a smashing job with my Electra pickguard, see previous posts in this thread. I thought about getting a Sandberg one but it would've been loads with taxes and postage. Really pleased with the Earlpilanz one!
  6. Jason bought a bass from me, amazing communication and quick payment. A great experience and definitely a credit to this community. Deal with the highest confidence! Thanks 😊

  9. I bought this about 6 months as a backup to my flea road worn jazz, I'm just not playing it enough to keep it. Upgraded with Fender Custom Pure 64 Jazz bass pickups (same as the flea jazz), these pickups are no longer available to buy and sound great. The rest of the bass is as standard apart from I've taken the gloss slightly off the neck so it's not sticky. Super light too at 3.8kg. Any questions let me know. I have purchased a new acoustic guitar so I will now take Β£325. Great bass with incredible pickups. Collection from Alcester, Warwickshire.
  10. Stunning! I rate my VM5 highly, great quality. Good luck with the sale
  11. It's 37mm at the zero fret so quite narrow but the neck is still quite substantial, has a great feel.
  12. New pickguard arrived for the Electra today 😍
  13. Wrong bass thread I know but this is the beauty Earlpilanz made for me, it arrived today.
  14. Just used him based on this recommendation. Awesome eBay seller, will definitely use again. Thanks @AndyTravis
  15. Lovely bass, more importantly congratulations on the good news! For anyone interested in this bass, I have bought from Ander before and he is a great seller and top guy! GLWTS
  16. They look like special basses, amazing! What case is it you have for them? It looks solid.
  17. So I've had a few days paying with the Electra VS4 now and I'm very impressed. The neck is really nice and the frets are finished perfectly. The sound from the pickups and preamp is brilliant and somehow sounds a little better than my VM5 with the neck pickup soloed. The best thing about this bass is the sustain it has, it just rings and rings. The only negative I can find is that the tuners are a little heavy and it makes it neck dive slightly while seated (the VM5 is perfectly balanced). All in all a great bass and even a nice bit of flaming going down on the neck too. I'd highly recommend the Electra series, great bass.
  18. The sound is really good. Very clear and loads of sustain. It is more modern sounding than a standard P, but that's what I wanted and expected. I don't think the newer versions are active and passive anymore, so it's active only. It doesn't sound much different to my VM5, all in all impressed with the sound and great that Sandberg offer a decent "budget" range.
  19. UPS found it and it turned up today. Had a play with it this evening and it sounds great πŸ‘
  20. So UPS appear to have lost my new Electra. It was due for delivery Thursday, then Friday and then it went to they will update when they have a date..... Found out today they need to do a warehouse search as they have no idea where it is 😞
