1. Yeah, these are awesome.
2. He spelt excited wrong, is that the clue?
3.
Singlecut Finn? You've been listening in on my thoughts again, that's creepy! Any pics of the shape? This is gonna be an awesome bass! Eude
I have my bad photoshop pic (which is charics smudged a bit!) and then Alan yesterday sent a sketch of a shape, which should be the real thing. I'll send you a pm with them when I am at work, as I don't think I should show my rubbish version on here, or I guess the sketch, as it would be good to show it off with a render eventually.
4.
Sounds very Oreo cookie Like the idea of the sycamore board with ebony binding, very unusual. I look forward to the progress pics!
Old one had a birdseye maple board with ebony binding, the sycamore maple looks lighter, so decided on that this time.
5. Okay, off the top of my head: - ACG Finn Singlecut (bet you've not heard of a singlecut finn before!) Body same widths as before giving the same look, but made of Stripy Ebony/Sycamore/Wenge/Sycamore/Stripy Ebony 34" scale 4 string Flamed sycamore board with ebony binding Neck made from sycamore/wenge/sycamore/ebony/sycamore/wenge/sycamore
6. Yes, a new one! As some might have read, I ordered one ages ago, which got damaged in the post, Alan is fixing it, but I decided to get a new one started (basically as I have the deposit now but not the full amount and my needs have changed a bit so I prefer 4 strings). I will post the full spec up in a bit, but, it's very similar to the last.
7.
great fun! Any relation to this guy (Paul McC's drummer)? Abe Laboriel Jnr.
I was just about to say that his son is an awesome drummer!
8. Gonna go with striped ebony, front and back.
9. That african blackwood is nice, seen lots of blackmachines before, and don't get why someone would want an ebony top, not very nice to look at!
10. I am sure it is the same as my ACG I was having made if it's a laminate! And yeah, trying to get an idea for what to do for a new bass.
11.
that's a maple laminate!
Yeah, same kind of thing I had got in my ACG before.
12.
http://www.gardeningthoughts.co.uk/acatalo...lwoodstain.html
I think someone doesn't understand the naturally dark bit of the title!
13. I do like that, especially with the faux binding ala PRS, looks very good.
14.
Some maybe, but look at this!
That is pretty nice, quite mac ebony-like.
15. Although not too dark, is this spalted maple?
16. I never think rosewood is that attractive kind of like a wenge top (like wenge necks but not really tops). Isn't cocobolo very red looking?
17. Is the Spitfire finished with a dye/burst of some kind?
18. Now officially for sale.
19. What wood is naturally dark and suited for the top of a bass? So far I know of Wenge and Mac Ebony, anything else similarly dark?
20.
Yeah, well spotted man, you stalker!! Just waiting for the cheque to come, but I had some GAS funds spare and it looked like a bit of a bargain to me.
I just noticed what you got too! Post some pictures when you get it!
21. Bump again, no-one wanna trade for a Sandberg or Status? Jaydee? Something with a graphite neck? Maybe I should just sell and stick with my vigier/sandberg combination.
22. I'd kick him out if he was rubbish and didn't even notice.
23. You can come round and try my Markbass, and Zivtin's SWR is here too, which I am sure he won't mind you using either.
24. I didn't even know he had this? That is awesome, I would have probably spanked the cash for that too.
25.
it seems you just have to walk into their shop in Seoul and they'll give you what you want.well not give exactly but............... check this lil' beaut out on the other forum.Nicer than a nice thing !! http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.p...ighlight=spunky
A part of the site shows their massive parts shop, but I am sure that you don't have to do any of that, since they have an online shop.
