What's everyone else bringing to their first rehearsals of 2021?

I'm pretty pleased with the new Schaller straplocks. I'd never used them before, and in the past always left the Warwick ones on my basses.
However this particular bass is so heavy (and the original strap buttons on this bass were not compatible with my other instruments anyway) I decided to go with something a bit more robust.

Hey @seb here are the after pictures with black hardware! I also waxed the body and polished it a bit. I put some DR high-beam strings on it now. Did full setup and sounds really good.
Looks like Warwick or someone drilled an extra set of holes where the bridge is mounted (odd!). This bass is from 2015, and I don't think the bridge design has changed that recently. Also, it looked like the original bridge to me, so I'm a bit confused by the second set of holes in the body. I have to confess I've not opened up any other Warwicks, so not sure if the two sets of holes serve a purpose or if it was a mistake at the Warwick factory.

These are the before pictures... I changed the hardware on this Warwick Corvette 6-string... the original tuners were actually in pretty good shape, but I wanted Schallers on it. Part of the bridge was all bent up and distorted (one of the handful of faults that are known to happen with Warwicks over time), so that needed to be replaced anyway. I also wanted Schaller straplocks on the bass, so... let's do everything in black then!

Ok. Cheers.👍
Sometimes folks just don't want to sell me stuff... I don't know why. There was the guy on eBay who didn't want to sell me an Aguilar Chorusaurus pedal and blocked me. To vent, I complained on Basschat. Then a couple of months later someone read my complaint on Basschat and sold me theirs. Stoisism man, one has to believe that it is all for the best... it will all work out in the end.
I'd really enjoy goofing with this pedal, but perhaps you have better luck! 🤣 My B7K v2 is waiting for me... somewhere, sometime.

Is this still for sale ?
Or is it gone
I was ready to send him payment in April... then he left the 'Messages' conversation we were having and I've not heard from him since.

I have good feedback on Basschat... happy to pay quickly via bank transfer if that works for you, thanks!
-
Sent you PM, but now seems that you left the messaging conversation? I'm very interested in this pedal, but messaged to let you know that using PayPal 'Friends and Family' can cause some transactions to get flagged, and then delays sending the funds (this happened to me when I just tried to pay my singer for a band t-shirt, and the funds were blocked by PayPal for ~2 weeks before getting released!).

Purchased a 7-string Ibanez guitar from Nick. He was super helpful and even included some extra bits like a spare set of strings and some Schaller strap buttons.
Shipped super fast, and was always giving me updates via Basschat messaging.
Thanks Nick!

Bargain... especially since it includes the original box. Someone needs to grab this!

Great map!

Welcome @BrigadierBass! I didn't realize until this morning when trying to access something on Talkbass that their site went down... crazy what happened!

I'd happily buy the box from you... I have an MXR M87 already (bought it used), but I also have OCD and am missing the box.

Still have the rig - I'd not have considered selling it if it wasn't to make up some ground on a house move. Looks like we've now secured a house without the need to liquidate all my gear!
Ironically my Mesa is having issues at the moment, looks like it'll be going back to the store I bought it from to be returned to Mesa for repair. Hopefully it'll be back before gigs/practice picks up!
What's the issue that you're having with the head? My 'standby' switch got stuck, which David Gaffrey replaced at the same time he did the voltage conversion for me. David commented that the switch issue is very common... I know of at least one other Basschatter who had the exact same issue with his 888.

@tvickey - I think if we combined our Mesa rigs we could hire ourselves our as a demolition company! Walls would come tumbling down in seconds!
Thanks @binky_bass, I take this to mean that you didn't sell your rig in the end and the house purchase worked out okay for you!

Excellent price on the Chorusaurus, and with the box! Someone grab this bargain! (I already got one elsewhere earlier). GLWTS

Bought an Aguilar Chorusaurus pedal off of Dave. Great communication, very patient and shipped the pedal super fast (even included the original box and instructions). Thanks Dave!

I only have the box for the T10S.
Me too. Actually, my T5Vs were purchased used for more than what you're asking. Someone needs to grab this bargain. Won't be long...

These are excellent monitors and at this price it is an incredible bargain! Do you still have the original boxes?
Too bad that I already picked up a set last year! GLWTS
Just out of curiosity, what did you upgrade to? I figured that for my small studio with somewhat minimal acoustical treatment, these were perfect as I would not really be able to hear the difference of anything higher spec anyway. I certainly was not disappointed! Incredible monitor / sub set for the money.

Is this body for a bass with a 20 or 22 fret neck? What is the width for the heel? Thanks!
-
Great photos. What is the diameter of the holes for the machine heads? Thanks!

Thanks! Sounds great about your hardware change too.
Thanks for your comment. I was not aware of the finish change on the Warwicks.... Well, this one got a nice coat of wax. Ha! Seemed to make it look better...
