  1. Corrected following review. Hope the therapy sessions start soon
  2. Yes you can. And if it's Scotch then you definitely should!
  3. Never had a problem. The only time I would take it off, even assuming I could get it off now, would be for using machine tools or where it could get caught. Bass playing isn't as dangerous.
  4. Just done my tax return. If I've got this right then HMRC owes me the nice @Andyjr1515 single cut that's for sale in the marketplace 😃 Or more likely the cost of the roof repairs following the high winds. ☹️
  5. A bow is OK. So are ribbons, stickers, and flowers. But you will feel a bit daft at Symphony Hall with a DB looking like that.
  6. That quite happily worked for the first few years. But there is such an interesting variety of basses, different choices of tech, design, priorities, thought processes. It's not like a clarinet or a violin where the design is fixed. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!
  7. I'm in. And on this thread too. 😊
  8. Where in the rules does it say that? (I'll post on the other thread as well)
  9. I'm in. There are two basses in the market place I want, but emphatically don't need, so I'll nail my colours to the mast now. And hope I don't unexpectedly come into a grand or so.. 😁
  10. Welcome aboard BassChat, and welcome back to the low end.
  11. Happy New Year and welcome to the forums.
  12. Annoyingly I deleted most of the photographs of the internal measurements from my Armourdillo review on here, when we needed to clean up space. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/395088-amourdillo-bass-defender-semi-rigid-casegigbag-review/?do=findComment&comment=3980589 I can find them again if you think it might do the job?
  13. Welcome aboard! Good choice of bass. 👍
  14. That headstock is horrible. It looks like a demented fish from a kid's TV show.
  15. Welcome (back?) I am NOT changing my name to DickIAm.
  16. Will be followed by unsubtle comments about the need to replace my car. ☹️ But as I have said to Andy- one day I will own a bass with swifts on the headstock.
  17. Still drooling over this absolutely gorgeous instrument.
  18. For livestream and recording we use OBS with a Stream Deck controller. I run Black Magic DaVinci at home for offline video production - the free version, which is excellent but doesn't support multiple monitors. We didn't pay for installation either- I hired a scaffold tower and three of us took a day off work to install everything. July 2021, seems like a lifetime ago!
  19. Perhaps I should take it up then? 😁
  20. Sorry @EBS_freak, I just realised I didn't reply to your question. They are these: https://www.rcblogic.co.uk/product/ptzoptics-move-se-20x-zoom-grey With NDI support. Towards the end of the pandemic when we were coming back to church there was a debate if we should carry on livestream and if so with what equipment. The question was answered by a generous donation from some members which paid for three of these, plus the network cabling, poe switches and ancillary controllers. It is now a key part of our mission, especially to the elderly and housebound.
  21. Whoever is in the band on Sunday has rehearsal Thursday or Friday before the service. We (almost) solved the problem of different versions of songs by always specifying the CCLI number for the version we're playing and downloading from there. Then if we change we can at least all change together! Twelve piece band rehearsal for Christmas Eve tonight. I'm neither playing nor on any tech this year, so I intend to enjoy the service and worship loudly and inaccurately. 👼
