1.
Have to say though... I found the Shrinebuilder album quite disappointing.
Just bought Solar Benediction on double vinyl, should have it by Tuesday, why was it disappointing?
2. Sounds like you need a Shrinebuilder, to make somewhere to put all the amps.
3.
to clarify... So I think it's a moot point, because great musicians excel and gobble up all thats in their path... So definitively YES it can be taught because the point at which it is received either on a record, in the street, in a club, in an inspired moment with a teacher or a pal with a good record collection it's all learning. So by definition whatever the method a good musician will "learn" to groove... however he or she be taught.
Well said.
4. Started off as a bass player, became a musician. Bricklayer to architect if you will.

6. No problems here.
7. Funk can't be taught. It's a calling.
8. I was looking at one of these in the Bass Cellar a few months ago. I asked the assistant if it was possible to plug it into a Mark Bass combo that was being used as a boot scraper near the shop door. After being spat at and being told about my mothers infidelities by the young swamp donkey, I was passed this "Gabriels Harp" from the window display. It felt a little heavy and had a touch of neck dive, sharp fret ends and the lower horn stuck in my town halls but as soon as I started to play "Yellow Submarine" a dazzling light blasted from the neck humbucker down the length of the shop, hit the scratchplate of a Musicman Sub bass (on sale for £9,795, as it was the last one in existence) and then the returning beam blasted me right in the eyes. I was blinking for a few moments and could see green facsimilies of Musicman scratchplates every time I closed my eyes, then something wonderful happened. I had the smell of a pine forest in my mind, the hustle and bustle of Denmark Street dissolved away into a gentle rustling of leaves and I felt a genuine oneness with God. My life had changed forever. I cut my left testicle off with a Planet Waves string cutting tool, put it on the counter and walked the 200 miles, home to Birkenhead with my celestial purchase. I got bored of the tone and put some Barts and an East in it, later on selling it to Cash Converters for crack and Special brew. Good luck with the sale.

12. God bless you. I got outbid on a fx90 about an hour ago. The Boss and Ibanez pedals are quite steep in price. Carbon Copy looks interesting. I'll check out the ones I haven't heard of. Thanks for replying.
13. I've been watching ebay for analog delays for a while now and have been outbid on DOD, Electro Harmonix and other pedals. I use to have a Boss DM2 that I sold to my cousin years ago for £20, suprisingly he won't sell it back for that. I don't want to spend too much, so I ask the pedal gurus, "what's reasonably priced and good sounding?" Ta.
14. Has anyone got a pic of the plexiglass sphere full of little speakers Stan used in the 70's.
15. It's great isn't it and lefty?

22. Hi there. I would always go for a good used example of a Stingray, you can get them for the price of a new Sterling. Edit, just been on ebay and my God, have they shot up in price.
23.
Has anybody had the chance to play one of these yet? I am intrigued.
Yes, you can pick up Radio 4 quite easily on it.
