It is one of the most charismatic instruments I've ever played. Absolutely knock-out. Proper Donald "Duck" Dunn territory!
Aren’t you tempted to get it yourself , at a family discount of course 😁

I'll start taking proper pics in a bit. This thing is so seventies it's just lit a Rothmans, put on a pair of flared nylon trousers and asked for a lager top.
That’s great 😂, I’ve got a 71 exactly the same

Born in the USA (by the end of the song do you get the impression he was born in the USA?!)
I’m with you on that one, for me anything by Springsteen 😬

back in the 80's there was a fad for video juke boxes in pubs
I remember a song The power of love by jennifer rush and frankie goes to Hollywood being played on those on repeat most of the night

I’m not a reggae aficionado like most here and that term was new to me. Fortunately, the style didn’t turn out to be some unholy mashup that the phrase implies. Phew!
yeah I know what you mean 😁, it doesn’t really come across as country , I think it’s more that some reggae artists were influenced by it at some point, check this out

Oh my, I came across this from a friend on another reggae group, the track To Be Rich is just amazing, it’s country/dub style backed by members of Dub Syndicate and the Roots Radics , it sounds like Flabba on bass to me but not sure, what’s not to like

yeah I know. It does sound silly
I don’t think it’s silly at all, I’d be the same , I’m no expert but if the truss rod is at its maximum and the neck is straight then what happens if you wanted to try something like labella jamerson flats which are high tension, there would be no more adjustment, I play with a really low action and I’m guessing that wouldn’t work, you also have to think about if you sold it on in the future, just my thoughts

I missed this on Will’s site when it was listed - don’t think it hung around for long.
Not sure of the price?

That must have come and gone really quickly, I didn’t even see that listed

"Fender P-Bass from 1976 in great condition with lovely authentic patina. I fitted a tortoise-shell scratch-plate and strap-locks but all the original parts are included. Frets show signs of use but have plenty of life left. Works as it should and sounds great. Fender fitted case included. More pics available. Located in Lancashire, England."
Thanks very much Rob 👍

Not crazy on the track but this guy has got some groove

I’ve watched lots of videos on the olinto flats as I was looking for some and the P basses look really great, but you don’t see them for sale very often, is it the price do you think or the availability

Thanks Sam, I hadn’t seen that, certainly a cool looking thing and 24 frets, not that I go above the 5th 😁

Just had one of these donated by my Dad as he uses a Spark Mini for all his practicing needs and I hope this is the kick I need to get playing again.
Seems very handy to have at the desk with a set of headphones and you're away - no more digging out the amp from the cupboard!
Nice one, I use mine regularly, and it links straight away with all the music on your phone or iPad, or YouTube etc

Great one from Clinton off his album survival vibration

It’s certainly a lovely one, and if it’s all original from new with the case it’ll sell easily, even if it’s not it’ll still sell, mine is very slightly earlier looking at the serial number, they really are superb basses, good luck sir
