Haven’t heard that in a long while, I remember buying the album when it came out and was blown away, great selection

Is it as simple as connecting the 4 ohm output socket to the LB 212 and the 8 ohm output socket to the VS 115
Hi, fairly sure you can’t use both outlets at the same time on a valve amp as I asked this once myself , but I’m sure someone with more expertise will be along soon

Also I think sometimes it can be as simple as people spend a lot of money on one and it turns out that it’s just not the bass for them , because it’s been sold a few times doesn’t necessarily mean there’s anything wrong with it, I’ve seen many good basses here passed on 5 or 6 times. I’ve done it myself, I spent over 2K on a beautiful custom Sandberg and didn’t really gel with it and sold it at a big loss , at least with most of the vintage ones you shouldn’t lose any money if it doesn’t work out

The nut width would be a deal breaker for me I'm afraid. Mine are all around 41mm.
What are you thoughts Tony?
Rob
Same for me too, I like the 38-40 ish, my AV62 P is 44 which is ok but I prefer slightly less

I think that’s a bargain. I’ve had to have a word with myself.
Got a reply, All original apart from the brass nut which was fitted later, the nut measures at 44mm,
quite surprised at the 44, every 70s ones I’ve had and played have been 40-42

The late 70s Fenders that seem like bargains at the moment are usually the ones that weigh a ton. Well, 10+ lbs at least.
I've done a fair bit of window shopping lately!
Weight doesn’t matter to me, strangely I don’t mind a heavy bass

Bass direct have got a 78 P in, it says the nut is 44mm , I’ve never seen this on a 78 or maybe a miss measure

It was advertised previously on the fretboard
I remember it being there and I don’t think 6k was a bad price for the year, I was kinda tempted to go and have a look but I’m not really into refinishes, and I think it was quite a distance from me

Talking of maple fingerboards recently, Andy Baxter has just put up a lovely 72 P, great condition

If any of you want to bully me into buying a maple necked early 70s jazz bass, fill your boots!
The ones I like are the sunburst maple with the black blocks, the Aston Barrett style, a friend of mine sold their one a while back and didn’t even tell me
