1. BUMP for TRADE options... I'd be interested in trading this, if anyone has a good DI box or anything similar which has a good DI attached - e.g an Aguilar Tonehammer?
2. Congratulations Dood!
3. Great looking bass! Good luck with the sale/trade
4. That looks so playable, for want of a better phrase...
5. First Bass Owned: Hondo II Rickenbacker copy 'Go To' Bass: Fender Roscoe Beck V 'Your' Bass: 1984 BC Rich Eagle
6. Lovely looking bass, though at 16.5mm at the bridge, too narrow for me.. As a matter of interest, is it a bolt-on or through-neck design? Good luck with the sale
7.
For anyone who is interested in these, Russ is a top dude to do business with
+1 Great player too.....
8. This is such a beautiful looking bass, I'm really surprised it hasn't been snapped up at this price! Especially when you consider that another Bacchus 5 on here has just sold for more.. So a free BUMP for a great bass and a top Basschatter!
9. +1 to all the above and the OP especially! There is a great community spirit here on Basschat which sets it apart in my view from a lot of other music forums I've seen. For example, a couple of years ago, in response to a problem i was having with a low-output bass, leschirons sent me an Aphex bass xCiter pedal to try out.. he sent it free of charge from France and was really helpful in terms of using it and advised on other options that could help me.. When i bought a cab from Ebay once, TheRev helped ship it to me from the Bristol area as the Ebay seller didn't want the hassle of shipping..again - free of charge!! Those are just two of a number of examples I could cite of my personal experiences of where that Basschat community spirit has come to the fore.. Definitely something worth celebrating IMHO and long may it continue.
10. Thanks folks! That's a real help....
11. Only just seen this CK; absolutely fantastic! More of the same please...
12. Hi Folks My best mates clubbed together last week and bought me a Kindle for my 50th which was very nice of them.. ..And now I've sussed out how to use it, I'd like to get some bass books to put on it; tutorials, biographies, that sort of thing.. So just wondering if anyone knows of any good stuff in Kindle format that they would recommend?? Thanks Nik
13. Looks like a fantastic day! Great looking venue and some lovely gear on show..
14. Isn't it a combination of these things mentioned above; the instruments, the players, the available technology at that time and of course, the skill / attitudes of the engineers, producers and arrangers.. Great thread btw!
15. Great sounding passive basses these and those pick ups are so, so good! I have the two pick up version of this model and it's just a fantastic bass.. Good luck with the sale!

21. All PMS replied to again, so a Tuesday morning BUMP! Just to say that the Metro does have some detachable castors that I fitted but the 210 cab doesn't have any. And, yes, the footswitch is included and that allows you to mute the sound for tuning and to switch quickly between the solid-state and valve channels.
22. That's very kind of you Chris! Feeling's mutual.... All PMs replied to btw and there's been more than I expected, I've got to say
23.
Mmmmm, that's got me thinking
Come on Chris! Clackett lane is calling...
24. Thanks stevie - likewise!!
