  1. Hi All

Had a search through old threads but cant see this comparison - i play country rock, so not too loud or too quiet - i'm really struggling to decide between these 2 lightweight portable cabs - which are same price and same 350w

I'm really attracted to the compact size and reputation of the Markbass but I've used a Rumble 200 Head (for sale in market place) and cab before which was great but just want more power. I've heard the MB is too clean and some say the Rumble is too dirty - i do prefer a 12" speaker, but not sure about having a really clean sound - though the VLE button might sort that

I mainly play a Bass Centre Bruce Thomas P Bass and I love it - i want a portable rig sub £600 that will fit easily in my car's boot and wont break my back or the bank.

    Please help me decide

Yes, I've used my li'l foxy Voxy VX50BA successfully for contemporary Christian music in a medium-sized church sanctuary and jams with up to two dozen, count 'em 24, acoustic instruments!   It's a very real 50 watts thru that sturdy little 8" speaker.

Sorry, this photo is only about 15 acoustic instruments.  Didn’t get a pic of the B-I-G group.

Definitely will look into this thanks

What's the best bit about a bass? What fills you with joy when you look at or pick up a favourite instrument?

Or even a less favoured four string friend that might have one feature that makes you smile.

My Bruce Thomas Profile makes me so happy every single time I pick it up. It feels as though the God of bass looked down upon me one day and said: This man deserves a bass which fitteth him so well verily it is as if it groweth from his body and he shall not feel its weight nor shall he suffereth from the slightest dive of the neck. It shall always be in tune never need fiddling to achieve the right action and his hands shall glide up and down its neck without even friction, thus shall it be. Oh and Bruce Thomas himself who sitteth at my right hand as a noble Prince of bass shall haveth a hand in the design and making of the bass  And Stew looked at what the God of bass had created and he saw it was good.

I’ve just pulled the trigger on a Bruce Thomas and they’ve set it up with BC flats for me. NBD Monday - can’t wait after all the great reviews. I’ve seen some videos and it sounds and looks great

  5. This was going to be my project relic bass ( don’t judge me, I need something to do now not rehearsing)

that was until I bought a Bruce Thomas bass so I only need one P

classic vibes are really well made this one has Elite Detroit flats on - the neck is a J style very playable

it’s the lightest p bass ever I’d say sub 8lbs

I still got the box so can ship for £20 to uk only or will drive an hour from Clitheroe to meet outdoors

I'd almost made up my mind to pre-order one of these Classic Vibe Mustangs...

but then I saw this! 😍

I bought the green one. Love it but it does lack the bass end the 51 cv has. But it has the p bass growl but because of the lighter wood it lacks low end. For me that’s fine

Nice! - the seafoam green looks great. I quite fancy getting a sunburst vintera mustang, but as I already have a CIJ mustang and a JMJ - both brilliant basses, I really don't *need* another.

I do wonder why Fender sell these (and the JMJ) with long scale gigbags included. Surely they could do a premium version of the short scale urban gigbag that used to be available.

I’ve got a sunburst vintera with TI flats on. I’ve got PBass GAS. So could be tempted to sell for £650 inc shipping. It’s a superb bass I have 2 short scale and 2 long scale already
