Kind of tempted to do a thin skin nitro shoot in olympic white, with clear coat as well - which is sure to relic quickly and nicely. That would mean not playing it for a while though... that ain't gonna happen for a while!
Ah, ever the dilemma; sounds cool though.

  2. It seems that manufacturers can't have a NAMM or MusikMesse come around without having something 'new' to show off. These offerings from MM are definitely not for me, especially at what I can only suppose will be £1k+ prices.

Has anyone looked at the guitars (sorry)? The Stingray is...well you decide http://blog.music-man.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/SRG-crop.jpg

  3. I try not too bash my basses and guitars, but not to the point of wrapping the in cotton wool and tip-toeing around with them. KB has it nailed..
If you scratch a bass it remains a musical instrument. If you refuse to play it, it becomes and expensive ornament.

Moderators ( or anyone else who may be able to help )
I have been PM'd with a request to change the title to "David Bowie RIP" as being more fitting, which of course is fine by me, but I'm not sure how to do it, bear in mind also, that I'm at work on my phone at the moment

    Thanks in advance
Edit the original post and select Full Editor at the bottom, then you can edit the title.

  5. I was genuinely shocked and felt the need to sit down. We are unlikely to see his kind again, truly fearless in his approach to his art, never scared to change, never standing still. He will be one of the immortals, as his output will live on and on.

Pretty certain the bass player on Mayer's earliest stuff was David LaBruyere, incidentally he also produced the early Mayer stuff
Yep, it'd be DeLa on the first two albums, Pino was drafted in for the trio and then Continuum and Battle Studies.

    Confirmed..,.. Wet pants
Quite rightly too. Having a custom built bass is exciting enough, but to then have a blow by blow pictorial build diary (and I'm guessing other person to person updates) is something extra special.
