I would love to have a bass with double fret dots on the 13th fret! I think the higher dots on my fretless are slightly off, but I'm not sure if this made it a deko.

The more we learn about this, the fewer possibilities there are that the seller has any grip on any aspect of reality.

I don't have the message any more, but I've had a discussion with him. Months, if not years, ago. At that point he said that he was looking for offers in about the £850 region. I didn't ask him how much he'd spent on it. Now he says that he wants about £1800. I think he's just making numbers up. if he actually thinks it's worth £1800 or even £850, it's going to be on ebay forever. I'd guess that he's using free listing days to list it.

I think they had some database problems over the last week. Too many things were very odd. I'm wondering if their database programming has more defects than the dekos themselves.

I think this might be a complicated situation legally, well beyond my knowledge. While the OP is still within the return period, the fact that he closed the return on ebay may be taken as accepting the goods. Legally. However, many shops want to maintain good customer relations. If the OP phones the shop, explains that he closed the purchase by accident, and politely says that he'd like to return, then it may well happen that things are sorted out.

Congratulations. I wonder if there is anything we can do about the auto-buying.

But, the Ali Express ads aren't showing pictures of basses, but pictures of Chinese ladies wearing very skimpy underwear. I wonder how the advertising targetting algorithms came up with that.

The really are different things. Comparing apples and oranges comes to mind. If I had to make a choice, I'd have to go for The Beatles. The Beatles had two first rate lead vocalists, George was OK, and Ringo rounded them out with character. The Who had one first rate lead vocalist, and I'd rate Pete Townshend's singing as similar to Ringo's. But, I don't think there's a need to prefer one to the other.

I know it wasn't popular after the LwJH performance, but I think Dave Gilmour's new album is one of the best things he's done. New Order without Hooky? Yep, that works.
