1.
I have nothing to add except I like the look of this one! http://www.aliexpres...archweb201560_8
I know, the looks is great, but at £300 approx, I fear paying Epiphone prices for below Epiphone quality, just for a body shape
2. Had a search through the forum for some thoughts on AliExpress. Found this http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Bass-Guitar-Newest-4-Strings-Gray-Thunderbird-Electric-Bass-High-Quality-OEM-Free-Shipping/32275208611.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.78.HXGypZ&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_2_79_78_77_80,searchweb201644_5,searchweb201560_8 For some strange reason I want a NR Bird' in my guitar rack. Why? Well just 'cos Has anyone used this site? I sit awaiting Thomann building a NR shape, I really like their TB-70 I own TY for any info, my intial thought is to stay well away, but who knows
3. have'nt read the full thread, so feel I may have prodded a wound somewhere :/
4. Thomann could really save themselves the hassle of posting on their website, and just post them here. Lets face it, basschat must snap up 95% of the Deko's Iv now joined the hoardes of page refreshers aiming to find a project
5. Hmmm, not sure im a fan, I have the old T bird, it plays great, we host a Jam night locally and I take along the Harley as I leave the bass up on stage for anyone wanting to Jam that hasn't fetched their own bass, so I dont mind if its knocked about a bit (unlike my Epiphone Pro Bird 4 that will snap its headstock if I look at it wrong!)
6. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
7. got a real need for a NR Tbird. Struggling as I only have a budget of around £350/400 Had found Bach guitars did them, however speaking to one of their dealers in Prague, they have stopped making that style and have no plans to put them into production again. Which is a real shame
8. well the bass has arrived at work today, and I have to be honest, first impressions are great. Will be plugging into the amp as soon as I get home. On that note, does anyone know where I can get a thunderbird logo from?
9.
Aye it'll be working buelljack. I've bought a couple of B-stock,no problems with either. I'll be looking out for your respray post,
Yeah, tracking shows it due to arrive today. Will post up some pictures later, then start a thread on the strip down and build. But stick with me, Im not as technical as most on here, so in depth reviews will be difficult
10.
buelljack B stock are sold and returned basses.
cool, thank you for that Still working though yeah? Otherwise they would be Deko's I have bought it to strip and custom paint. Im a big T-bird fan with a few Tokai's and Epi's, but fancied trying my hand at a custom look but without the big initial outlay to start off
11. im awaiting a B stock order from them, the TB70 Thunderbird. tracking looks ok, looks like confirmation that it has been handed over to parcel force here in the UK, but their online tracking has it still in Germany, hmmm Is B stock different to Deko's
12. I love my Thunderbird! Been out gigging the guitar and the 'attack' and feel of it are great. I havent made any mods to stop the neck dive, its just something I have accepted, and quite like the look on some of our vids where we finish a song i play the last note and let the guitar just drop, come across as a very 'F You' hard rocker thing. But thats just me. I do want to add the Goth to my stable though!
13. I love Peavey equipment, I currently use a 450 max head with either a 2x10 peavey cab, a 4x10 peavey cab, or a 2x10 1x 18 peavey cab depending on the venue. However I made the mistake a few years ago of selling my practice amp, a 300w 1x15 combo with a 1x15 cab for £200. At the time Peavey equipment was all over ebay and quiet cheap for used amps and cabs. So now I am on the hunt for a Firebass amp, cannot find one anywhere, and when I do it seems to be at a crazy price, has something happened to cause this or are people more aware of the value of this brand?? or am I just being a typical Yorkshireman and peny pinching?!?!
14. going to give it all a go! anything that will help out, I think the part about going straight to a quick song is right, the 10 mins of warm up is a good point, free everything up and get it nice and supple
15. thats a fair idea, save me building it and then upgrading hardware on top.....
