I did actually post on the FB thread about who owns the copyright (picture) - but I think few people understand being that the internet 'is' of a "free for all" approach to everything! Music, Photography etc etc!
Copyright law still applies, except if you are the one owning the rights who uploaded it to FB. In this case, according to FB legal terms, you loose your rights. It's not legal over here, only in the US. That said, good luck, if you want to sue FB.
