  1. £232 ain't a low start in my book!
  2. I looked at that earlier; it's had a bid, so the BIN is gone. I do like the ageing of the wood.
  3. Everybody should own a Thunder at some point in their bass-playing adventures.
  4. Well, I think it's super, man!
  5. I think the Octamizer is the most natural sounding octave pedal I've tried.
  6. More wally...
  7. I kinda like it...
  8. Mine are ok; they can vary.
  9. Yep, they changed. What do you mean a lump at the nut?
  10. Kudos for keeping the Squier brand on it and not "upbranding" it to a fake Fender!
  11. My baloney-ometer has kicked into action. So, it's not a 1970's then. Maybe not such great build quality, then. A variant on "the wife" angle. Good attention to detail there. Bar the knobs? What lawsuit?
  12. Yes, of course; not for me, this one, though.
  13. Much uglier than a Gibson, too...
  14. Mine was a passive one - I bought it new. I think the active came later.
  15. I used to have one back in the 80s; one of our sets was wearing black and red, so I had mine with a red strap.
  16. The hairpin truss rod system is great; the only issue is when people assume it works like a Fender.
  17. Well, it interested you enough to reply! 🙂
  18. Is there a Rickenbacker one? 🙂
  19. You do know that's referring to the brand of beer, not the bass guitar, right? 🙂
  20. This is a Sterling by Music Man, though, so their equivalent of Squier by Fender, right?
  21. That's the first Genesis song I liked.
  22. (It may be, though, that the screw has simply become loose and is letting the cog ride up and disengage, so if it's still under the tuner cover, it'd just be a matter of unscrewing the 4 corner screws, tightening it up, and putting the cover back on.)
  23. I really wish ebay had a block/ignore facility.
  24. Ah, the wit and humour of ebay sellers who think they're the first to come up with a hilarious posting... What next - an air guitar? (Or maybe an air plectrum?!?)
  25. It reminds me of the Columbus, which was my first bass. Too far and anti-lockdown for me to collect. However, I think I have one of those generic Japanese tuners in my parts box, so could contribute that to help get it up and running.
