1. Relisting this as my sale fell through.
2. Congrats - looks almost new. A fender 5 string for £300 can't be bad.
3. I'm not really a Fender fan but this bitsa bass is stunning. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/133661-gone-thanks/page__p__1213950__hl__cd_david__fromsearch__1#entry1213950
4.
My higher bass teacher at the school recomended I buy one, I went for a schector stilletoe, lovely bass but this dude did know what he was talking about.
I gigged a Schecter Stiletto Custom 4 for a while - sounds great with the EMG's, bought a Custom 5 but couldn't get used to the narrow string spacing. I've never tried a Japanese Bass Collection but I did buy a cheap Speakeasy copy on ebay a few years ago and the neck was great. With a pickup upgrade it would have been a great backup bass.
5.
I would certainly have this off you if things weren't so iffy at the dayjob. GLWTS.
I know what you're saying, lots of people in the same boat.
6.
With 2,270 views I can't be the only one teetering dangerously on this little beauty!
lol - I've had a few trade offers and a couple of potential buyers, trying to get the funds together. I was gassing bad over an Aria SBR80 which has now sold on gumtree I've always fancied an Ibanez Roadster RS924 which do come up on basschat and ebay from time to time.
7. I sold my RB720 last year and I miss it badly - should have another Ibby soon though. This was my old one http://s93105080.onlinehome.us/Ibanez-Catalogs/catalog/1983-1/09.jpg
8. Lots of interest but still available.
9. I'd be interested in this if my Warwick Fortress sells.
10. My dream bass has been listed on ebay so I'm including a had shell case to motivate a sale. No trades for the moment. Thanks
11. bump for price drop
12.
Probably bought it with the money he received from Sharon Osbourne in exchange for his artistic integrity following his shamefull agreement to re record Bob Daisley's bass parts on the sham re release of Blizzard of Ozz/ Diary of a Madman.
This video shoot was about done about six years before he joined Ozzy's band.
13. Paused the clip at 5.02 and it has quite a distinctive headstock - I used to think it was a Tobias as it seemed to have the missing jigsaw piece design headstock but I'm not sure what it is now. Haven't seen that video in a long time - love old school ST
14.
Hi, Would you be interested in a trade for a fretted OLP MM four string. Upgraded with Seymour Duncan pickups and pre-amp. I bought it from BC and cant get along with it because the neck is too wide. Would be cash your way, Cheers, John
Can you pm me some pics, I'm not too familiar with OLP basses, thanks Andy
15.
Hi, what's the weight, just out of interest?
My scales are out of action at the moment, I've had a look at the Warwick site http://www.warwick.de/modules/news/NewsSingle.php?id=1214&katID=14484&cl=EN and they reckon it's 4kg which feels about right.
16.
Is this still on the go?
Yes mate it is
17. Mudpup - I've had a think about the Spector trade and I think I'd rather wait for the right Ibanez/Aria bass to come along. Thanks for the interest though.
18.
How about a swap for a mint condition and completely unmarked Spector NS2000/4 plus a bit of cash or combo of bits below? Fantastic Spector sound and a really playable neck with low action. Also have a couple of Ashdown cabs lying around that i'm going to be moving on shortly and some bits such as Protection Racket gigbag or Mono GS1 strap that you may have a use for. The Spector has EMG HZ pickups and an active EMG tone circuit, neck thru design, NS designed curved front and back, maple body with figured amber top and black hardware. Its my back up to my Euro 4LX but i fancy having something a bit different. Its the one on the left below and im in Herts so not far away. And here a re acouple of image links for it below http://farm7.static....864118f0f_b.jpg http://farm7.static....21f5a5ea7_b.jpg
Very tempting - what is the width of the neck at the nut? I tried out one of these basses a few years ago when I ultimately bought my old Schecter bass. I can't remember what it was that made me buy the Schecter over the Spector as they both had the same EMGs and great build quality.
19.
Would you be interested in a Corvette Standard Active, with the more "robust" neck they used in 2005?
Hi Greg, I've had a few Corvettes and I'd rather something a bit different mate.
20. Up for sale is my German made all original Warwick Fortress One four string from 1994. I bought this from a fellow bass chatter back in March for £450, I love the feel and tone of the bass but prefer chunky Precision type necks. This Warwick has the wenge neck with the brass nut and passive MEC pickups and an active MEC preamp,so you can use the preamp to get the active signal by pulling out the volume control or you can play it as a passive bass if you prefer. As I mentioned previously it has a slim fast neck with a 38mm width at the nut, a really low action and loads of Warwick growl. The condition is 9 out of 10, there is some buckle rash on the back and a few small scratches on the sides but it's really clean for its age and I don't think it has seen many gigs. (I havent gigged for five years now). I went through an active corvette rockbass, standard corvette and a corvette double buck before trying this and while my corvettes sounded great they didn't have the mid range growl of this bass. I'm open to courier options, I can post in a hard shell case for £20 or collection from Milton Keynes is fine. I have feedback from previous basses i have bought through this site and 1000+ positve feedback from my ebay account sally1980andrew. Thanks
