1. Cordes Lambert Tell me more! Where? How much?
2. I did exaclty this and after one gig they did not work as well This has reminded me to send them back under warranty.
I currently use the ACS in ear custom mould ear Plugs and they sell earphones which replace the filters. If I buy those, connect to a suitable output on my amp and buy an inline volume control for the earphones ...erm is that it? How do you go on with the wires? Feed them down the back of your shirt? Is it really that simple? ACS want £120 for the earphones that work with their moulds - anything cheaper that's compatible? I've been using the custom moulded plugs for about a year so am used to wearing them ( sounds weird without them tbh)
4. I teach at an FE college and we need to buy some new interfaces. The ones we have had so far have not really managed to stand up to the abuse our students hand out. All our Alesis ones have died or are dying. We have a bunch of Lexicon Omegas which have been OK-ish but we had to send 7 back to be repaired so they do not inspire confidence. We have M-audio combined keyboard/Audio interfaces which have been ok but sometimes fiddly. We are looking for bombproof, idiot proof bus powered USB 2 audio interfaces. Price is an issue. Any ideas?
5. No no no no no You want one of these http://www.k-m.de/TABLE-STYLE-KEYBOARD-STA...76c92ce0.0.html http://www.thomann.de/gb/km_18950.htm I inadvertantly bought 2 but only needed one for a keyboard (don't ask). I am 6'2" and my 3x10" hits me square between my shoulderblades.
6. Martin at the Gallery built me a Bass 10 years ago. For the next 5 years he recognised my voice on the phone within half a sentence. I was not a regular caller. He offered my wife a cup of coffee 8 years ago after she got fed up of Camden Market and followed me accross to the Gallery. She still says it is the nicest music shop she has ever been to. She has been to a lot of music shops.
7.
Dread to think what level of rehearsal is required to get to that standard
Usually 3 hours + 15 years minimum of practising before that for the individuals. I used to do a lot of classical playing but then stopped. I went to the Opera last night and remembered that playing tight is not just for hot funk bands.
8. To be fair the Berg active cabs are not just a power amp chucked into a cab, they have onboard DSP to tune the cab as well. I do realise that when done in bulk and the R&D costs are done and dusted then it is not a massively expensive part, but the IP is an elegant solution and I no longer have debilitating amp GAS
9. That seems a fair price all round. The pre-amp would be between £400 and £500 and then chuck in a power amp (I'm guessing that the power stage is nicely specced being a Demeter) and you would be there. I am biased, but the pre is very nice indeed.
10. Apparently the preamp is based on the same as an Alembic. I wonder how easy it would be to take the power section out? Much cheaper way of buying an Alembic pre thing.
11. I'll take the case. Paypal?
12. I will take the Ultralites if they are still here.
13. Go on then PM me your bank details if it is still here.
14. I have an Adrenalinn 3. It was no fun until I got some editing software. Now it is easy easy easy. There must be some editing software out there somewhere.
15. I bought the pedal and the Eprom. I put it all together. It works. I do not need it now because I have actually learnt the pedal (imagine that!) and it is fine on it's own for me. Mine is now for sale. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=79559
16. This is a bit of a niche one here. I have a Behringer FB1010 with a custom Eprom thing to turn it into a dedicated Adrenalinn controller with no programming. It works fine, I just do not need it. I have the original Behringer Eprom if anyone fancies that instead. http://www.eurekasound.com/adrenaprom.html £100 Want it you know you do.
17. Bumping all my unsold kit to the top.
18. Just to be clear, I am not an agent and other than gettting a nice strap for half price I am not making any £ on this.
19. I have one taker so will order this evening. If anyone else fancies then all the other straps I order in a batch come out at $40ish + carriage + whatever the tax man his us with.
20. Hi y'all, I fancy a nice suede strap and noticed that Italia straps in the US are doing a buy one, get any other strap (any style) free offer until March 2nd http://www.italiastraps.com/new-sale-page.htm If anyone fancies going halves with me get in touch and I will put an order in by March the 2nd.
21. Sound seems to have been covered, but despite the individual design they are very comfortable to play, seated and standing. On mine the pick up was very close to the strings so almost acted as ramps. Really comfy. The nut on mine was pretty wide, possibly more P than Jazz dimensions. It was also very light. It was a nice piece of kit.
22. You cannot spell Bass without a B.
