    Just bought a rebop 5 from fellow bass chatter Hyperbass,these are seriously good value instruments & within your price range,hopefuly someone will see your post & give you a PM,which is how I found mine.I had looked at corvettes & streamers previously & would pick the spector every time,best of luck in your quest,mike.

    Hello,anyone tried both of the above to give a comparison,I'm looking to restring my 5'er,my main preference is for a slack feel,ie a string that requires less tension to tune to pitch,tone wise nickel or comp wound stainless would both fit the bill.both sets come as 45-125,mike b.

    Hello again,still pondering over your spector,it would seem that mint cond thro' neck 5's fetch around £480,so a bolt on in used cond has to be worth significantly less,also take off what you would pay ebay in commission & with a bit of haggling we may not be a million miles apart,if it doesn't make it in the auction send a PM thro the forum,I have a few days off work this week so collecting is not a problem,best of luck either way,mike b.

    Hello,try my trace elliot BLX combo,1x10 with horn,7 band graphic,DI & more,if your man enough it can be carried with one hand,massively loud for its 80watt nominal,160w peak rating,in excellent order & a snip at £150.00,not a million miles from Dorset,mike b.

    After being on this planet for more than half a century I've had the the oportunity to play countless brands & models,but I have only ever owned Status's (or should that be Statii)I started out as a guitar player but deffected to the low end late in life,beats me why every bass player in the land doesn't play a headless especialy a Status ,I would sell my genitals before I would part with my 4000,double end strings are easy & cheap to get hold of,try status themselves or stringsdirect.co.uk . Ps. if rob green would like to send me a free kingbass in exchange for this plug I will not be too embarrased to accept. Off with your heads !!,mike b.

    Hello again,its still for sale,can't beleive not one serious enquiry for this great little combo,incredibly loud for only 80 watts,7 band graphic ,tweeter,presets,di & even in my arthritic state I can carry it with one hand,Excellent order,virtualy home use only for most of it's life,the one I gigged with is still going strong in a local band,it has to be a gift at £150. I played an old Warwick fortress one today,if anybody in the southwest has one for sale & would like an amp & cash in exchange for it,please get in touch,Mike.

    Hello out there,any body tried DVD's by the above artists as I have seen some for sale locally,previously I have watched guitar instruction dvd's that vary from useful to useless.Any recommendations for other titles would be helpful,idealy anything with a leaning towards jazz & blues.The wrinkely one awaits.

    For sale,my trusty Blx 80 watt,1x10 + horn,7 band graphic,presets, Di etc manageable weigtht of approx 50lbs,.This is the vinyl covered version in excellent order,used mainly as a spare,home use & occasional jam sessions.My other blx is still being gigged by a friend of mine in his 3 piece with no problems at all,used in pub & social club gigs,anything really big just Di thro' the PA.Has to be good value at £160.00 (situated 10mins junc28, M5) May p/x towards a warwick thumb b/o if anybody has one for sale locally
